This movie plays Excitebike really fast with an improvement of over a second compared to the previous movie ( tasvideos.org/1070M ) by JXQ.
Times for each track are:
0 = 36.19 (0.35 improved)
1 = 37.84 (0.40 -"-)
2 = 38.67 (0.19 -"-)
3 = 41.96 (0.02 -"-)
4 = 41.00 (0.02 -"-)
5 = 31.34 (0.40 -"-)
Cumulative in-game savings: 1.38s
Main improvements come from taking ramps faster and a unique trick in which the author goes slower to get a better time. Look for further info in the author's comments ( tasvideos.org/2383S ).
The encode for this movie features commentary in the form of soft subtitles.
This movie also has two Atlas Map encodes, one of Track 1 ( • NES Atlas: Excitebike ... ), and one of Track 2 ( • NES Atlas: Excitebike ... ), which shows the standard encode overlaid on a zoomed out map.

Used to spend hours as a kid designing tracks specifically for those off-screen wraparound jumps :) Excitebike was one of my first games when I got my NES in '86!

There was a feature for this game that allowed you to design your own tracks. I remember because each obstacle had a letter from A to Z and you could even save and load them. This was the forth game I had when I first got a Nintendo back in 1985. The other three were the Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt game and Gyromite with the Rob Robot. Good memories :)
