====Description==== Mini Golf, as the name implies, is an 18 hole game of miniature golf that you play on the computer. The holes have the various enhancements you would expect on a good miniature golf course, including loops, waterfalls, warp holes, electric barriers, spinning triangles and discs, whirlpools etc. In the arcade version, you need to earn additional holes through good play on the previous holes. In the home version it's more about challenging yourself and others to attain the lowest possible score. Sente Technologies (also known as Bally Sente, Inc.) was an arcade game developer. Founded as Videa in 1982 by several ex-Atari employees, the company was bought by Nolan Bushnell and made a division of his Pizza Time Theatre company in 1983. In 1984 the division was acquired by Bally Midway who continued to operate it until closing it down in 1988. The name Sente, like Atari, is another reference to Bushnell's favorite game, Go and means "having the initiative." This game can be converted to any other Bally Sente game by exchanging a small plug-in board and control panel. Quick to do and quick to watch.😀 The player controls the speed and direction of each shot through the movement of the trackball. When the trackball is moved, the game monitors the speed and direction of the trackball for 20 frames, then shoots the ball accordingly. A button alternates between three (or two) starting positions for each hole. For most of the holes, I tried to make the hole as the programmer intended, but there are some that probably aren't doable in one shot. For these holes, I exploit a bug in the game. If the ball hits a corner fast enough it can go out of the playfield. This is a classic problem of collision between a ball and 2 walls. But I'm not sure that this bug is exploitable for a human player because you have to hit the ball at a very high speed. GOAL: -Try to do each hole in one shot. -Hole #1 (0:00) -Hole #2 (0:07) -Hole #3 (0:15) -Hole #4 (0:19) -Hole #5 (0:28) -Holes done as intended. -Hole #6 (0:33) -I was able to shoot close to the hole but it appears that it is (probably) not possible to shoot as hard as necessary to reach the hole. -So I use the glitch by shooting to the nearest corner. -Hole #7 (0:39) -Hole #8 (0:46) -Holes done as intended -Hole #9 (0:56) -Done as intended -I kept the longest path (fun to see), it is possible to make this hole more quickly. -Hole #10 (1:04) -Hole #11 (1:18) -Hole #12 (1:25) -Holes done as intended -Hole #13 (1:29) -I use the glitch by shooting in the nearest corner. I could have easily done it as intended but it was more fun to watch with the glitch. -Hole #14 (1:36) -Hole #15 (1:40) -Holes done as intended -Hole #16 (1:45) -Done as intended, but using the kind of vacuum cleaner. -It's probably not doable in one shot without this. -Hole #17 (1:56) -I use the glitch by shooting in the nearest corner. -It is probably not doable in one shot. -Hole #18 (2:00) -This hole is probably not doable in one shot. The best I could do without using the glitch was in 2 shots. -And you need to avoid the eyes because they send your ball to the start. 73,500 is probably the maximum possible score for this game since I made all the holes in one shot. There appears to be an unspoken rule for mini golf games that it is NEVER possible to do every hole in 1 shot. That you managed to find a way to do it here is nothing short of impressive. Cheers.

Shoot fast enough, clip the ball through the corner and wraparound the screen until the ball goes back in bounds relatively close to the hole.

Imagine paying $30 back in the day for this game and beating it under 5 minutes! 🤦‍♂️ Cheaper to play at the arcade with quarters. 😂

If you managed to get all holes in one, adding that with the extra holes you had left, i say that's the max score you can get. I don't think there's extra tricks to get a better score than that. Congratulations on getting the max score!
