Thanks people! I improved my Venom 1 score from about 200 to 295, with the help of the new route, and also because I hadn't played this level for a long time, so I'm much better now. Also, I improved my total hits score from 2266 to 2549 (main game). I hadn't tried this for a long time too. I did so much life spamming that once I had more than 60 lives.

I really wanted to see a Venom 1 TAS before. I couldn't even see a mistake in the TAS yet. Great job! 2971 on the easy route is crazy! Only the Bolse level could be improved much, the others are really impressive. My score on the easy route is 2112, and on the hard route, currently 2266.

In theory you can get a bit higher if you get Hit +1 on each side of the electric things in Andross' tunnel.

This course always screws me, at the second time you have to choose your path, where slippy goes left. there seems to be a roughly 50% chance ill make it, and 50% chance i'll slam into the center for no discernable reason and forced onto the right path.

ＥＸベノム１の道中は他と比べて難易度が異常に高いんですよね。 真ルートである同２のスターウルフはおろかラスボスさえ、１の道中に比べれば幾らなんでも簡単すぎるレベルなので、当時はシラケてスコアアタックする気も失せてしまいました。 初代ＦＯＸは後半になるにつれて緊張感が高まり、暗雲の中で明確にパワーアップするラス面の前座ボス、殺気立った雰囲気の中で突然かかってくるラスボスからの無線、意味深な台詞、仮面を割ってもすぐ元通りになるラスボス、と、当時幼かった私にとってそのインパクトはハンパではありませんでした。 それが６４版になると１面からボスのおちゃらけた通信が入ったり、クライマックスになるほどラスボスのダサさが明るみになったり、言動もワンパターン（常に「私が支配者だ～、偉大だ～」みたいな論調）だったりして幻滅してしまいました。 今考えれば６４版の遊びの幅広さはそれなりに良かったかも、とは思うのですが、私にとって面白かったのは間違いなく初代ですね。
