Many do not know, but new Street Fighters who use the system spend bar to make a stronger character blow comes from that game. I also remember that the first narrator of Street Fighter 4 was the same as the Streeet Fighter the movie.

International releases had the Shadaloo crew members' names swapped around (Sagat excluded) but they can commonly referred to as "Boxer", "Claw" and "Dictator". What is interesting though is that Akuma retains his Japanese name, Gouki.

MikeifiedYoshi That's what I don't understand. If Capcom is going to keep the american names of the bosses in the japanese release,do so with Akuma!

It actually makes sense they kept "Gouki" for the japanese release of this game, as Akuma/Gouki did not appear in the movie itself; on the other hand the names for Bison/Vega/Balrog are kept in their US order in this Japanese version of the game because even the Japanese release/dub of the film kept the US naming convention for them.

The name rearrangement was to avoid any copyright suit from Mike Tyson in the USA at the time ("Balrog" in the USA is "Mike Bison (M. Bison)" in Japan)
