Thank you so much for this video. I was glad to see that the three input levels, low, medium, and high are in effect just either cuts or boosts, and that the actual fine adjustment is done with the input's level control. @StudioonaStick3 жыл бұрын
If you aren't going to do a lot of processing and are mainly concerned with recording raw tracks, a 006 is adequate. The mic ins are a bit limiting since they are not xlr but that's not a huge deal if you are in a small "studio" environment. Cable runs will be short and interference will be negligent. Plus you can use a $10 DI box to solve that issue if it arises. I like the DP series because it's a bit larger and more user friendly. The newer handheld style models are excellent for portability and features, but they are more difficult to navigate and use. If you are going to record tracks and export them to your friend for mixing and mastering, you have what you need, I'd just add a DI box. Thanks.
@tommaynard_keyoftreeband3 жыл бұрын
@@StudioonaStick Thanks for the input. User friendly is good. I'm sticking with what I've got. If I get serious and also need more tracks I can always upgrade. It'll probably take me a year to master all there is with the 006. I'll comment on how the first 4 track recording goes. You're sure making it a lot more fun by making it easier.

It mainly depends on what you must have. I you only need raw tracks and you want very affordable convenience, then I would recommend the 006. If you need to produce complete and fairly polished demos without a computer or daw, then I'd recommend the 008(EX).

@@trevordorn7411 In that case I would either go with the 008EX or the H4n Pro. The 008EX is a little more user friendly (larger and easier to adjust) with slightly less onboard effects options. @aaronlarsen744713 күн бұрын
It's a pain. Menues and arming tracks. It is not a nucular device. I want to plug into a channel and press record. With modelers, all extras are redundant. A tuner, a metronome, basic e.q. reverb, and delay are redundant. Serious engineers are using DAW. Serious songwriters go Dawless. Build it for the songwriters, so they can share their tracks with the engineers. If it were a vehicle, they put the cup holder in the way of the shifter, the battery under the back seat,, and you have to jack up the car, and climb under to access the spare tire.
