Even when this channel is sort abanded, it was very practical for me. I had review many Tutorials on KZbin, and at last I found the right one. Short, concise, to the point, and useful. Exactly what the people that are looking for this kind of content, want to know. Not many other things. I thank you so much.

Thank you. I make these with short attention spans in mind. I think 20 minutes are my longer ones, and those are lessons for my students.

The limiter is a digital limiter, do not use. The audio is clipped before it hits the limiter circuit so it's useless. This why you use the Dual Record option. Especially if you using the Auto Level function, the limiter is not needed.

Any advice on the clip at the back of the device? This cannot be pried back with fingers, I feel like you need a screwdriver or something very rigid to open it up so it can be clipped onto a belt.
@professorz112 жыл бұрын
Are you trying to remove the clip from the mic? To do that, pull off the little wind screen at the top and then just pinch the clip a little bit and slide it off.

#8 dual record mine doesn't switch to ON
@professorz113 жыл бұрын
I haven't heard of that before. Make sure your memory card meets the requirements of the recorder. If the card isn't fast enough, it might not be able to record both audio tracks at the same time.

The pre-echo you get with when using one of these units on each person you are conducting a two person interview is a complete NIGHTMARE when you try to sync them up in post production, trying to eliminate the echo will drive you nuts, in fact it's IMPOSSIBLE to fix. You will only be able to use the audio from one person. Go out and try it and see what I mean. I tried it on two people seated about 5 - 6 feet away from each other and it was a mess when I put the audio tracks together in post.
@professorz113 жыл бұрын
I have never had this problem. I also have several students that use these on a regular basis and have never reported this problem. Sometimes you get an echo when the program doesn't sync the audio exactly. I would try to zoom in on your audio waveforms to make sure they match up exactly. If they are off by even one frame, they can create an echo effect.

@@professorz11 the fact that they don't have a record button and we need to slide that stupid sh left and right is a big disappointment - i will send it back . you simply can't press record or stop recording, you slide that stupid thing left and right and don't know when it records or not.

What If your computer doesn’t take the chip? Is there another way to put the audio on your computer?
@professorz114 жыл бұрын
It also comes with a USB cable to connect to your computer. Or you can always purchase an inexpensive SD card or Multi-Card reader. Something that I think everyone should have.
@davidsauceda49712 жыл бұрын
Does the SD need to be empty before you insert it into the recorder or can you use it with files on it?
@professorz112 жыл бұрын
You can record with files on it, but it is always best practice to format your card in the device you are going to use it in. I have a MicroSD card dedicated to each recorder that I have.

Does the headphone out work while recording on the tascam dr-10l? I want to record and send a signal to a wireless system at the same time. Thanks!
@professorz113 жыл бұрын
I honestly have never used the headphone jack since it is not practical in my applications. I am always setting it somewhere away from where I am, and then trusting that it works. I honestly don't know why you would want to use a dual system like that since the recorder and the wireless system are doing the same thing.
@jeffb88243 жыл бұрын

So each time you cut camera you have to go and cut the recorder
@professorz113 жыл бұрын
You don't have to. That's a workflow choice. You can keep the audio recording and just match up the parts in post. You are going to have to synch them based on Waveforms in post no matter what, so the recording lengths don't need to match up.

@professorz119 ай бұрын
When you are recording, the screen will be black with the record circle and the clock will be counting up. If the card isn't in, it won't let you record. You can either connect the recorder using a USB cable to your computer or take the MicroSD card out and connect using a card reader to your computer.
