Does the headphone out work while recording on the tascam dr-10l? I want to record and send a signal to a wireless system at the same time. Thanks!

what do you use for a windscreen?
@BobbyBurns5 жыл бұрын
I typically just use the cover that it comes with which isn't much of a windscreen. If I know I will be in windy conditions I use the rycote overcovers. Super reasonably priced and work great. Just used them this weekend for a windy wedding outside in Glacier National Park and it cut down the wind noise significantly!

Thanks for the video mate. Quick question, if you have no time to mic groom and bride can you just hang this recorder and lav mic on the speaker used by Officiant to record clean audio, since they all will be using officiant mic anyways ? Cheers

I mean you can but it's a toss up on how well it will work and how clean it will be. Lots of variables if you do it that way

Hi Bobby, thanks for sharing you settings. I'm still learning this recorder... here is my settings: Mic Gain: M (officiant) H (groom), Low cut: on, Limiter: on, Audio Level: off, 48k, 24 bit, dual: -12db, Bias: on Do you use Mic Gain "H" for both groom and officiant? I was thinking of using high on the groom so it will pick up the bride as well. Thanks, Jen Also do you have a video once you download the file in post and edit?
@BobbyBurns4 жыл бұрын
Hey, I've adjusted to record at Medium in most scenarios now. It gives a cleaner sound floor to work with and I can always adjust in post if necessary. I do have a video that goes over a bit of sound clean up and post processing. It is in my "how to edit weddings" series if you search on my channel. Not sure which video it is off the top of my head, probably somewhere in the 5-7 range.

Sony tx 650 is so much smaller & easier to handle! I still use the Tascam for the groom for ceremony tho
@BobbyBurns4 жыл бұрын
Appreciate your opinion for sure but just no way I can agree with this. I know those things are nice and slim but I'd take using a lav mic that I can choose over a built in voice memo mic any day! Plus I don't think the sony dual records audio levels which is a huge dealbreaker!

Zoom F1 can be better, but the battery door.
@BobbyBurns5 жыл бұрын
I'd disagree, the f1 doesn't record dual tracks, one of the best features of the DR-10L, so imo it's not even a comparison
@englinesianvodcast69295 жыл бұрын
Your comment has made me targetting the dr-10l. I was confused between F1 or dr-10l actually. I like the fact that the F1 supports all Zoom mic capsules. By the way, thanks for convinsing me.

@@englinesianvodcast6929 Neither is a bad option, I just think for the purposes I and many others use it, the tascam dr10L offers much better features
