Hi, I liked your video. Its informative and helpful. Are you in tashkant now? Is the weather bearable ? I am planning to visit samarkand after watching your samarkand video. What's the temperature there? I am planning to visit after 10 days. Please advise.

Hello Salman! It's pretty hot but you can definitely explore the city in the mornings and evenings as there's a very early sunrise and late sunset. We were in Tashkent a few days ago and it was pretty hot 😅

Welcome to Uzbekistan! Land of kindhearted people, delicious food and beautiful cities! In Uzbekistan people dont rush, because they value the meaning of time, enjoy every minute being here! If you came from Western world few tips to know: 1. Traffic on roads - cars have priority, they don't yield pedestrians 2. Taxis very cheap and u can get a ride off the street by raising hand or thru the app like Yandex Taxi 3. Cities very walkable but in the summer is very hot 3. Infrastructure is pretty developed but mostly only in the center of cities, which is where tourists go normally. 4. Slower Internet in compared to other coutries. 5. Energy is a struggle, in Tashkent its common thing for city to shut down electricity supply district by district. 5. Enjoy!

This line was built between 1993 and 2001 and was not the Soviet metro.
@TheBackpacksters Жыл бұрын
Ohh.. wasn't the funding and design initially from the larger soviet union? 🤓
@fadialdajjani9314 Жыл бұрын
@@TheBackpacksters The first two lines were built based on the local, republican budget, but the technical management was based in Leningrad(Sankt Petersburg) construction company(along with the local government-owned "Tashkent Metro Construction" company), the rest two lines were built after the collapse of Soviet Union. The design of the two first lines stations was by both local and Russian architects.
