Damnnn!!!! This was the most useful video of Capacities ever! This literally solved the dilemma I was having of being able to connect my thoughts and insights, to actionable steps and goals I want to achieve. It felt like none of the apps would be able to achieve that but lo and behold. Damn

Thanks Beth, this was helpful. I am using the link to Reminders for anything to be done away from my desk, but a task object will be useful for internal tasks.

this is unbelievably useful!

si, deberian trabajar en un gestor de tareas integrado a capacities.. si bien es util lo que explicas en el video, te lleva a realizar varios pasos y la idea es hacer la menos cantidad de clicks posibles. Saludos

I was using tags but I can't filter tasks. Now I know I can do that with a task object.

Hi Beth. Could you explain how you created the box on the right at the beginning of the video starting with the heading ‘What’s next?’? It looks cool.
@CapacitiesHQ2 ай бұрын
Hi! This is a block reference from the "What's next" weblink object, that I put into a column next to some other text in a different page. Here's a quick demo of how I did it: www.tella.tv/video/group-block-reference-columns-1-gcs4 Please note that block references are currently a Pro feature :)

Can I display State in the link block view? Otherwise, I cannot judge whether the current task is completed through the Calendar page, and I must click on it to check it

Thanks Beth! Do you have a tip on how to archive projects? It relates to this video, because for the dropdown to link a project it would be really good if one could somehow have this list not show projects that should have been archived. Possible via a project status tag maybe?
@nickmurdaugh98562 ай бұрын
That's exactly how I would do it. Tag it archived, and exclude it from your query object.

Thanks, but this is very basic task management, but it doesn't really work once we get hundreds of tasks in. I hope Capacities will take this to a much higher level because currently it's an amazing PKM tool and, but I can't do much work on it even by using Calendar (daily note actually), tags and properties extensively. And I really don't want to integrate to another tool...

Question. If one uses the "To Do" object can I see them all in one place? Also if I create a to do list in a daily note how can I get them be brought forward into subsequent today notes until I complete them?
@CapacitiesHQ3 ай бұрын
You can see them all by opening your to do object type. You could make a query of undone tasks and insert that into your daily note template as well. We have a video about editing the daily note template here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKvNhWefjKmtnrcfeature=shared

Madam. When can we expect Integrated Task Managed feature released? Is there any etc.
@CapacitiesHQ3 ай бұрын
Definitely not within the next few months, but can't say for sure when it will be here. Here's the full update: capacities.io/roadmap/whats-next

Is it possible to add a 'due date' field please?
@CapacitiesHQ2 ай бұрын
Great idea! You can add a date-time property called 'due date'. When you open the calendar each day, if there are any tasks due they will show up in the sidebar and the 'references' section, which is a great way to keep on track!

Thank you, this is very helpful. In another topic: We have been asking on the website in the requests, ideas, bugs section, and there is rarely a response: There are many requests to make video links their own basic object type instead of having them appear in the weblinks section, just like the one we have for X/Tweets, but for KZbin. This is really necessary since it doesn't make much sense for the videos to appear in the weblinks section. How much of a problem is there in doing this? Thank you

Without bi-directional linking capacities is useless You would say we had relation o know but its don’t same
@susanpearson-creativefibro3 ай бұрын
There is bidirectional linking, I am using it. Just select the inline link option.
@CapacitiesHQ3 ай бұрын
Networked note-taking is one of the core pillars of Capacities! If you use @ or [[]] you can link to any object. Assigning a project to a task in the properties will make the task show up in the backlink of the project object too.

I do not recommend using this application. I've been experiencing instability for two days, everything simply disappeared. I've restarted the browser and installed the app and nothing. Worst of all, without realizing it I created an account with the same email as last time and the tool simply accepted it. How can an application create two accounts with the same email? It is an application with critical errors and low confidence
