If Tasker is not the best thing that happened to Android, I don't know what it is. What an incredibly powerful and useful piece of software! Tasker made my everyday life AND my work much easier! Even my wife, who has absolutely zero knowledge, has Tasker installed on her phone. She tells "I'd like my phone to do this, or that, automatically"... guess who's making it happen 😆

Very much looking forward to the new UI, it looks great so far! Might I add a suggestion for future projects? I believe it's about time for an overhaul of the scene editor UI, and it would be quite an appropriate follow up to this update I think! The current scene editor gets the job done, but it could use some quality of life updates - for example, the grid setting doesn't work, or at least not in an intuitive way, as manually moving elements won't change their position by the increments set in the grid settings (for example, grid size is set to 10, and I intuitively expect any element's x and y coordinates to be in/ to snap to the nearest 10*n increments. But manually moving any element doesn't actually change the coordinates by 10. Annoyingly, sometimes it's less, sometimes it's more). Some other things I'd love to see, apart from an easier to use UI (constantly switching back and forth between portrait mode settings and landscape mode settings is a bit tedious, for example - why not just have it all on the same screen at once?) is the option to match some or all orientation-dependent element properties (position and size) by default to either the portrait or landscape mode settings, as they're oftentimes the same in both modes anyway. Additionally, I'd really like it if you could remove the upper absolute limit for the radius of any element's rounded corners, and maybe even add the option to define the corner radius as a percentage of the elements width and height (so that the ratio of an element's size to the radius of its corners is unaffected by changes to its size). Or how about the option to group elements in a scene, so that you can equally move or resize multiple elements by the same amount - this would work especially well once the grid works as I've described earlier! Those are some of the things I believe the scene editor could really use!

Why does such a powerful app not have a highly functional marketing, developer team. This can actually be huge when you look at the technical complexity it brings to the table. Lot of people are struggling with productivity but are barely tech savy enough to configure tasker to it's full potential, you guys should start a project implementation team

I really wanted to like the new UI but I honestly prefer the old one 100 times better. I Couldn't even understand the logic of my tasks with the new UI. Hope the option to use the legacy UI never goes away.

Have you fixed the notification permission glitch on android? I love the app and only use it for tasks that read notifications and send texts from them, but it's been getting bothersome restarting my phone nearly every other day when it stops recognizing it has notification read permission

That's not a glitch in the app, it's your system that's killing the app when it shouldn't, sorry! To make sure Tasker and the AutoApps run in the foreground please check here: tasker.joaoapps.com/userguide/en/faqs/faq-problem.html#00 Pay special attention to the location part. If Tasker doesn't have permission to get location in the background it might not work correctly, so disable and re-enable the location permission and make sure that you allow Tasker to always access it. I'm trying to set my Tasker to play a media once when it is a Saturday or Sunday at 8:00 a.m.. I don't see how to set a chain of ifs to make this happen. I also wanted set a chime on the hour but not during the evening hours while I'm asleep.

I have to say I like the idea of the web ui. An in-browser IDE would be kind of sweet, though I doubt we'll get there very fast. I tried to setup teamviewer on my phone so I could remote control program it, but it's not supported. Also, for some reason teamviewer things I'm a professional user and wants to charge an arm and a leg to use.

I switched to Anydesk a few years ago after repeatedly being told I was commercial and use it on lots of phones like elderly parents who have the amazing capacity to accidentally switch into modes/states I didn't even know existed 😊 Works really well

Awesome, I have a question: Is it possible to perform actions on Facebook without using AutoInput? While AutoInput is often the best option, it sometimes fails when the screen changes, causing actions to get stuck. I am looking for an alternative method, such as using the Facebook API or a specific URL. My task is to automatically post a new product on Facebook Marketplace on my three accounts as a daily routine. Do you have any suggestions for a better way to do this?

You can always use the HTTP Auth and HTTP Request actions to access (almost) any API, so maybe you can try that? :)

If possible, could you create a project for posting on Facebook Marketplace that I can import? I have three Facebook accounts, so would I need to log in and out again using HTTP authentication? Dude have been long time doing smartphone automation long long before the era of rabbit R1... this rabbit R1 is powered by what they call Large Action Models which Turns Large Language Models into tools manager for the sake of automation that time i hear people screaming isn't smartphone able do that, what for we need rabbit R1 well to create automations isn't simple task it is sometimes really simple but sometimes can be really complicated what if there is fine tuned AI able to generate Tasker automation, and if that automations isn't available in its fine tuned data, then it will goes into QnA for community to solve it, and when it solved then it will goes into the next AI fine tuned version. won't that be... make the world better?

Smartphone without Tasker is Stupidphone 😅 I've some problems with Tasker in my Xiaomi HyperOS phone: 1. How to get real battery info, like time until charging finished, result is Zero 2. I want Tasker can not be clear in notification.

​@@joaomgcd about no.1: Unfortunately, on Xiaomi phones, the charging time information is not in the form of notification, like Samsung, so I can read it using AutoNotification. about no.2: I mean, Tasker notification for Monitor (Main Tasker notification that shows status of active profiles and other info), I want it to be permanent/persistent/locked, can't be cleared, like in my Samsung Phone. Still figuring out how to do this in Xiaomi phone.
