My interpretation of Dara's interpretation of John's play was that he was a defector en route to be smuggled out of the 1970s USSR, and he's encountered a setback.

I always interpreted it as a man with severe agoraphobia or possibly of opening doors trying to leave to see someone important to him, maybe his son, but the fear is overwhelming him, controlling him, ruining his life.

Sarah's play was so beautifully written. She told the podcast that the cats symbolized the people in the old folks home. Fern did an amazing job. Masterpiece.

During the self portrait task, Alex asks if Dara's reminds anyone else of Chris Witty - obviously you wouldn't know who that is so the line is cut, but Chris Witty was the chief scientific advisor to the government during the pandemic so was on telly a lot, and Dara's portrait looks more like him than any picture has ever looked like anyone. It's beyond photorealistic

I love that Dara's script for John was John admitting he'd betrayed someone and being punished for it... feels poetic since John betrayed his team back in episode 3.

I've seen this series a few times, and I gotta hand it to you for cracking that Snort Raspberry Whistle task! I've tried it many times and it is much easier how you explained. PS the ping pong balls and white noise thing Munya was talking about is better known as a part of the Ganzfeld Experiment, and most people will experience visual and audio hallucinations.

you can use a sheet of paper close to your face as well, you just need white noise and your full field of view covered by a bright diffused white light.

The guys I used to drink with would always have a can opener on a chain to carburet the beer can they're drinking from to lessen the glug and foam. To allow faster beer chugging. Fern laughed so hard she screamed and stamped her foot!

@ disagree but it’s subjective. S15 was stuck between s13, 14 and before 16 so it got lost but it is better than series 6, 8, 10 objectively by fan stats. The studios are great because of their dynamic, the tasks don’t have as many viral or iconic moments but it’s much more watchable than 6 and 8 especially.

​@@Martianambassador-yc3pi I say it comes down to the wording of the task. If the task reads " ____ ____ THE pineapple(s)..." the word "the", being a definite article, means only pineapples that already exist (at the time of the writing of the task) should count.

The order of snort raspbery whistle makes no difference to me, mind you my snort acts as the in breath so maybe that makes a difference in terms of having enough breath to do a set quickly.

Taskmaster is a lot more scripted than people want to believe. Greg and Alex's banter is scripted, they both have earpieces and additional teleprompter/queue cards. Anytime something like potato hate happens where they have the reveal footage ready to play is scripted, and the main reason the contestants wear the same clothes for all tasks is a standard reality TV trick to make editing and splicing together takes easier. So anyone who believes they don't group tasks together to give one particular contestants a better chance at winning is extremely naive. As you said, it's still fun to watch nevertheless, it's just annoying when they try and pretend they don't do this on purpose.

yeah exactly I don't they hid that fact that's it alot more planned than the chaos nature suggests. they're still elements that are adlibbed too which gives an unpredictability of the result
