Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

In an interview, Greg/Alex said that they had trouble pitching the show to comedians, because a lot of them were afraid of just being humiliated on TV. And I think a major factor in the show's success is that Alex allows himself to get humiliated just as much. I mean - take a moment to realize that Alex Horne, the producer and big boss of the whole show, transformed himself into a singing mermaid, squirting water.

I think what really helped, apart from that, was frank skinner participating in season 1. Considering his persona, composed, old fashioned, always dressed in a pretty formal way etc.. if he, out of all people, wasn’t afraid of participating and being made a mockery out of 🤷‍♀️

One small gripe for an otherwise brilliant show from a very thankful fan, perhaps don't preview full tasks from as-yet-unaired-on-youtube episodes? There were a couple of episodes in series 4 that I had to skip because I'd already seen 90% of the tasks. I'm outside the country so this is the best way to watch Taskmaster for me, and the clips I watched before realising I need to follow this each week could just have easily have been from past series. However, I love the show and thanks so much for putting them on here :)
