Apparently Ed knew in advance that the lasso task was originally intended as a tiebreaker but got promoted to a main task because David did so badly, and was mad because that made it have more of an impact as he came second last

Mark Watson wasn't that bad at tasks, he was actually leading the series for a lot of it, it's just his fails and bad luck are way more memorable (cheeky texts, the bad rainbow, the dog eating his breadcrumbs etc)
