The Helium Egg absolutely killed me, especially as Greg would not let it go for the rest of the episode. What made it better was that it came right after his epic Disappearing Cow trick, so the belief Mawaan was gonna be the series champion was quickly out of the window

oh thank god i thought i was the only one who had this idea. Just use a weighted rope, throw it over the opposing balcony, and have the eggs tied into the middle, then just release your tension until they fell in

Only if they could manage it with what was in the box they chose - I don't know if there was anything weighted enough to keep it on the other side in the box with the rope. We only saw a quick glimpse of the boxes, and they didn't show a clear enough shot of the one with the rope to know if that would work. Great idea, if there was heavy enough items in the box.

Poor Katherine. She's honestly a brilliant woman, and you can see that in the Coconut Water task, but I think in lot of her truly bad moments she's suffered from overthinking. Am I the spider? Indeed.

You take the long sticks and tape them together and then just have them sit in the pan and put the little bucket onto it and slide it down

The woman was on the right track. You can use the tube as a launcher. Hold it on the rail, hanging downwards. Let the egg roll down the tube and just before it gets to the opening, push down on your end, lifting the other end and launching the egg towards the pan. Would probably take a few tries, but doable.

@@IrishRepoMan Not in 3 tries (only 3 eggs to work with). For my money, I would probably have worked with the cardboard boxes, and interconnected them into a long funnel, depending, of course on the other materials in the box, we didn't get to see, because nobody chose that one.

The task specifically said you could only use the contents of the boxes. So obviously, what they could have done was ask Alex to step into an empty box, then use Alex to get the pan or put the egg in the pan downstairs.

Choose the balloon box, detach the handle from one of the buckets and bend it into a hook, tie the hook to the string and throw it at the handle to hook it through the hole in the handle. Pull the frying pan up and place the eggs in.

They should have tied a short and a long string to the balloons using the short string primarily and the long string for backup. In case the balloons get away you can tie it somewhere and if the balloons are secured well you won't lose them.

I am astonished that not one of them tried using a hook on a string to catch the hole in the handle of the pan (perhaps with the balloons and leaf blower to position it?) and then bring the pan up to the balcony. Just seems like common sense to me!

Choose the balloon box. Tie the string to a dart (we saw Johnny show that there were darts in there), fasten the other end of the string and throw it across to the other balcony to create a zip-line. Line it up above the pan, which fortunately seems to be in the middle. Use a bit more string to attach each bucket to the zip-line and guide them into the pan with your end of the zip-line.

That was my first thought, but the physics of that, with the egg's shape, probably wouldn't have worked. Maybe if the egg wasn't still in it's shell it could have just slid down. There's times when I'd really like to try some of these tasks myself, because I really like solving creative puzzles!

This task was the encapsulation of what made series 10 a struggle. The task is crazily convoluted with almost no method of succeeding. Each episode became an exhibition in watching these five fail where even the funny moments like the helium egg didn’t have the same impact as high-water marks of other series. Add in the first series with no live audience and it was shaky. Luckily, they got back on track in the three most recent series.

Agree completely, definitely the weakest series in terms of tasks (I remember the impossible one with the doors too). It often seemed more like the were celebrating their failure rather than there creativity, and laughing at them rather than with them.

Spoiler . . . . . , That the ballon almost managed to make it into the pan while all the rest failed XD I was expecting someone to bat at it and maybe get a speck inside winning because everyone else failed but that the balloon got so close was really impressive.

The way they went wrong on this one is thinking they had to get the eggs to the pan, rather than getting the pan to the eggs. If you could use rope to hook onto the pan somehow and pull it to you then you win. Or even if you k ick the pan off and get it closer to dropping distance to you

My try: Pipes.. put them together use the cues and the tapes to fortifying the joints. Then making a small rail with cues and tapes (and maybe i attach them to the pipes with that tube cloth thingie) Testing the reach, and stability, if it reaches the pan, attach the eggs with tapes to the end and try to put them to the pan. If something broke this abomination will fall and i lost... :D

Could just attach the egg in a bucket to a string, lower it, swing it back and forth, and then lower it when it's over the frying pan. Takes very little time and can always pull it back up if you miss. Might want to help secure that it stays in the little bucket though.

My toxic trait is thinking I have an easy solution for this. I'm 6ft6 (198cm), and I probably would've tried going downstairs with the egg and jump towards the handle of the frying pan to see if I could get it off the top, and then just place the egg in there. I don't know how high up it actually was, but I think I can reach about 3-3.5 metres pretty easily...

I think they should have been able to throw the eggs. Once the egg is in the pan they could be hovered over it like tom cruise, with tweezers, and pick out the eggs shell. then light a fire and fry the egg. once alex has eaten the fried egg and reviewed it then the task is over.
