Dave Gorman, Paul Chowdhry, Rob Beckett, Sarah Pascoe and Al Murray attempt to get to the microwave in as few steps as possible before it dings from series 3 of Taskmaster.

------------
In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

The silliest part of the "try to take as big of steps as possible" strategy is it would have required less steps if they had just run instead of trying to take big steps while walking. While you're walking, your steps are never further apart than your legs can reach, but while running, there are times where both legs are off the ground and therefor the potential to have a larger distance between each foot fall.

Just a PSA: don’t turn off your microwave by opening the door. The safety switches will melt over time. They are not designed to be hit with the full electrical load of a microwave.

Honestly sounds like a massive design flaw.

@@hulltugev only insofar as a SawStop system is flawed. You're not meant to be using the emergency cut-off for anything other than an emergency.

@@danniluxgarbe429 so I should stop turning off my safety chop saw by sticking hot dogs in the blade?

@@KitchenerLeslie2 I mean, it's you're money. If you want to replace the brake mechanism and the blade every time you turn the saw off and you're not hurting anyone else, you do you, man.

My first thought was to have get alex a wheelbarrow, sit in it and have Alex drive me to the microwave (mind that was when clicking on the video before seeing the setting). Now I would ask him to get me a bicycle and cycle there.
