The main issue is the lack of integration with actual tasking. Users are absolutely not going to look in two places for takes we can barely get them to look in one! Even if lists just came with a way to choose to do this at the item level and let the user choose the plan and bucket, linking matching fields two way, that would go some way to letting a shared channel plan things out then add to real plans wherever the assigned people really work, and keep things linked. Or even just to be able to send to a shared to do list. As it is the utility of shared channels especially is really hampered by lack of group and associated planner. This was *nearly* what I was looking for though, so thanks!

Thanks for sharing this approach. Please tell me why you exported the list as XLS and added it to the private channel? What is the use case? The same user has to go to multiple channels to complete the same task twice... or different tasks, but still, the user ends up roaming around an already bulky Teams environment looking for tasks to complete. What am I missing?

Ik kon het eerste deel al gelijk in een private channel uitvoeren, dus ik hoefde daar niet eerst ergens anders een list voor te maken en die dan te importeren in het private channel, dat scheelt een omweg. Thanks... This helped me way more than the general MS video. This helped me understand how these features can be leveraged. I am going to be using this. I have to use it to task track for work but I may actually use another list to manage my asset inventory(assigned, unassigned, etc...). Glad to find this as I am an old dog learning new tricks. lol

Thanks. Good to see more options to close the gap. I'll definitely be exploring the list option now that I've seen it in action. Hopefully Microsoft will allow Tasks on shared channels soon.

I am afraid it is not coming soon as it is not a group( like a team or yammer or SP) that is why it is not working.

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I've got my teams tasks set up by business area instead of priority. One question - I have so many tasks for 1 business area but Teams just shows the one column that scrolls endlessly. Is there a way to make the display show 3 columns worth of tasks (if there are enough tasks), or is it stuck with just the one column?

I've had the same sort of issue and got around it by using more buckets than I'd originally wanted (e.g., "Finance - 1" "Finance 2" "Finance 3").

@@todayparents Once I created a new "view" like a calendar and click on the View drop down list (the same one you click to "create new view") there is an option to select "Set current view as default"

This is a default action you can directly add multiple people it should be done via comma separated input

Title is misleading, the video DOES NOT show how to integrate Tasks or Planner, it's a lame workaround, disappointing, please do not use such misleading titles🤔
