Your friend is pulling your leg saying she’s swum from New Norfolk to Hobart- it’s not possible!

It is actually a qualifier swim to do the English Channel. I have now had 2 friends do the swim.

I lived in Tassie for over 40 years & never heard of anyone doing that - I actually would have thought it to be too dangerous to swim between new Norfolk & Granton (not to mention too gross - down stream from the paper mill couldn’t possibly have been cleaned up enough to make it healthy to swim in?!)
