An indelible feast for the eyes once again, exquisite scenery in the rainforest, replete with wildlife and even energetic blue tails hovering effortlessly over water and glimpses of exotic fungi sprouting effortlessly on damp moss. Crashing waves and howling winds in a crescendo that assaults every sense..... Your work is truly art in magnificant motion! Beautiful, just beautiful....

@Miss Melly Vee beautifully written review; thank you! Your picturesque writing captures and retrieves the color nature images from the film into the mind. @Into the Wild Films and @Miss Melly Vee -- You both have wonderful gifts: Philip for his filming and composition -- spanning from calming serenity (here) to tumultuous action (the rocky shore scenes in his full-length Tasmania film); and Miss Vee for her picturesque writing! - cheers from Minnesota

So peaceful, so beautiful, as I'm carried on sounds of nature. The not so distant bird song over gentle waters call on hopeful dreams of an easier life. The leading music carries me into flight, soaring above a forest of light and shadow and colours, before I glance through a window, an archway, at tree ferns that somehow seem to beckon to the soul. A Pademelon confirms our location, where a sweet scrub wallaby surely would be. Even a sinkhole, which normally evokes frightening thoughts, mesmerises with life amidst blue-green hues and imagines a different purpose. The wind and the cloud and the movement of shadows, softly transport me to a powerful sea. The waves crash into immovable rock, awakening me from the simple pleasures of this alien world. Just what the doctor ordered, from a man and his camera to me.

Thanks Grant, your comments are like poetry, how i'd love to write you. The Tarkine is one of those places that gets pretty close to a total wilderness experience. That being said there is an awful lot of logging going on in the region that encroaches very close to some of these magnificant areas. I hope that common sense will prevail and our governements will finally wake up to the fact that far too much of this natural beauty has already been lost. If ever you get the chance to visit the wild north west of Tassie the Tarkine is a must. Cheers and as always thanks for your support. Cheers Phil

Why are there so many shriveled trees and bushes? Is there not an oceanic climate there with a lot of rainfall?
@IntotheWildFilms
@IntotheWildFilms 3 жыл бұрын
"So many shriveled trees and bushes" There are some shots that include some evidence from recent bush fires, maybe they are the ones you are referring to. You are right the Tarkine is temperate rainforest and receives a lot of rainfall. Anyway thanks for watching, cheers Phil

Consider getting a Lumix G9 with a panasonic leica 100-400 (x2 for censor crop) and shooting 5K video in 4:3 aspect (18megapixel video). 4K (UHD) is only 8MP. You will not be dissapointed. It's the perfect birding setup as well.

Anothef great video mate! Your so talented! I really Want to go here as I've said before. Looks beautiful! But yes it is very sad and Makes me angry that it is being logged. I don't understand why you would want to aside from greed and 'to keep the economy strong and creating job's hopefully the government will stop and preserve this beautiful nature.

Thanks mate, yes the Tarkine is a magical location, the worlds largest expanse of cool temperate rainforest and the cleanest air on the planet. Its awful to see destruction of this type of forest for logging. We need a forestry industry because we need sustainable sources of timber for housing etc. but it cant be at the cost of these magnificent areas. We don't have much left and its really important that we protect what remains.
@tarkinegrove1070
@tarkinegrove1070 Жыл бұрын
@@IntotheWildFilms If only you lived here and told the truth. There is no destruction of "destruction of this type of forest for logging" the only destruction comes from nature itself...the wild wind and fungi. The truth is the old forest is of no value for logging, not to forget almost impossible to access anyway. BTW you should have researched west point before you visited it.
@IntotheWildFilms
@IntotheWildFilms Жыл бұрын
@@tarkinegrove1070 Thanks for sharing your opinion, I'm sure there will plenty of people who disagree with you. I did in fact see, with my own eyes, destruction of old growth forests. The logging was so close to those opening shots at Trowutta Arch I had to change the audio because all I could hear was chainsaws in the background. Yes do research before I visit. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, stay safe, cheers Phil

A truly unique and amazing place. Of course successive Tasmanian governments have done their best to kill it by death of a thousand cuts.

Thanks Matt, agreed mate, its heartbreaking to see the extent of clear felling out there. That footage I took at Trowutta, I actually had to change the audio as there was the sounds of chainsaws in the background. Cheers Phil
