TASMANIAN DAM CASE (1983): The Corporations and External Affairs Powers of Section 51 | AUSSIE LAW

The Tasmanian Dam Case, decided by the High Court of Australia in 1983, is one of the most important cases of the last 50 years. The issue around the construction of a Dam on the Gordon below Franklin River in Tasmania ended up with a decision of the High Court about the extent of the corporations power of section 51 (xx), and of the external affairs power, of s51 (xxix) of the Australian Constitution.

My assessment is the High Court boarded on Criminal with there wrong Decision on the Dam Case, the New Snuck in World Heritage Properties Conservation Act 1983 Law just before the Court case started says it all and they could not see why that law was snuck in by the Commonwealth Government that Boarders on Criminal to me.
