Imagine the feeling that Pecorine had been feeling before meeting the gangs and creating the Gourmet guild. The feeling that everyone you knew and loved, even your own parents has forgotten your own existence, all to be taken away by the main antagonist of the series. Plus the fear of revealing your true identity after building this much connections with so many people as Pecorine, she finally gonna take a step forward. Of course, why do I feel like that season 2 is going to end with a major cliffhanger

What's Pecorine backstory? I've only watched clips of this show and plan to binge it sometime, but after this I want to know about her story. I don't mind being spoiled

@@alfgart the main antagonist took her place in the world. Everyone but her forgot she was the real princess, including her own parents who forgot she was their daughter, and she's been on the run as an "impostor" ever since

@@alfgart so back in the last episode of season 1, Pecorine was known as the Princess of Landosol AKA Eustania (the real princess). She left her kingdom on a journey as a form of rites of passage. When she came back after her journey, the guards of her castle 🏰 thought of her as an intruder and Pecorine was is disarray of the situation. She thought they were playing a joke but to make matters worse, even her own BLOOD related parents does not recognize her. Everyone who knew Princess Eustania have there memories wiped out because of Kaiser (White fox woman) who took her whole identity as Eustania. Kaiser was too powerful for Pecorine to face so she managed to escape the castle and had to lay low for while until the heat dies out. As time passes by, episode 1 of season 1 is the start of the story. For Kaiser, we don’t know much about her other than the fact that she’s a power hungry mad woman

Peco in the game is really attached to Kokkoro and Yuuki because they were the first people to properly befriend her after everyone forgot her. In the game her relationship with Karyl is also a lot more strained because Karyl outright hates her due to Karyl’s own situation (she thinks Pecorine had it all while she had to grow up in an insane household being mistreated and outright abused by her family).

To be fair, she ONLY reveals it to them, and sarendia orphanage, because she had to explain the whole situation to them (why mana and nightmare are after her and, why she was asleep in bed with yuuki) and because saren is the former VC. Even then it snowballs because they start fighting with people who know, and they openly state who she is, and a mind controlled karyl does the same. The anime reeled in the whole snowballing of that info by having kokkoro "accidently" find out (via labarysta putting them in a replica of the palace), yuuki vaguely maybe k owing via his memories and pecorine revealing it to save everyone
