Vegemite is fantastic, it's best on Toast with tons of butter/margarine with a high butter to vegemite ratio. It also goes nicely on a sandwich with cheese so that fat from the cheese mixes nicely with the saltiness and umami flavour of the vegemite. Most of the chocolate products are made by Hershey’s in the USA, which adds both Butyric Acid & polyglycerol polyricinolreate (PGRP) to their products, Where European chocolate is made from Shea butter, Cocoa & fresh Milk, USA Chocolate is made with less cocoa and sour milk, then Butyric Acid is added as a stabilising agent, along with the (PGRP), to give it a longer shelf life, it is both of these two ingredients that Europeans don’t like about US chocolate, as they give the chocolate a strong tangy taste & that strange vomit smell & flavour, Hershey's - like many US chocolatiers - adds polyglycerol polyricinoleate (PGPR) to some of their confections. This additive is made from castor oil and helps the chocolate flow nicely into molds, around fillings, and also reduces the amount of expensive cocoa butter needed to make chocolate candy. 🥴 😎 👋🏼 🇪🇺🍫👍🏼 🍫🇺🇸 🗑️

Being an Australian from Sydney I love majority of these foods except for Vegemite, Growing up as a kid I used to eat Vegemite sandwiches for my lunch every day which now I don’t. Another thing we did as kids with the Burger rings we used them as a game pretending to propose to one of our friends it was wicked

The original Marmite would be used in tiny amounts, say a peanut size dollop on a full slice of toast. It has an overpowering flavour that people either love or hate. No middle ground.

You have to try a TimTam slam. Where you the a small bite out if opposite corners an suck a hot drink through the biscuits. You gave to then out the biscuits in your mouth before it falls apart. I am from Australia and I agree Vegemite is gross, but it is liked by alit if oeople

When you put that much of veggiemite i said oh no. no no no. i had it when i was in australia and i didn't like it. i thought it's just an acquired taste. i like white chocolate but i don't mind dark chocolate because it's a healthier choice for me. i love milo. i put a little bit of hot water to melt it then cold. with milk. yum!

Way too much vegemite for first timers. 😅😂 I put a lot less on my food, but you can add it to anything to give a bit more taste. It also doesn't really expire, they don't put expiry or best before on it, you can still be safe eating it years after the date.
@HaileeandKendra Жыл бұрын
On one side that’s good because it means we didn’t eat expired Vegemite, on the other it means that the flavor was really that bad and the expiration date wasn’t a component of it 💀
@TheRICKY85 Жыл бұрын
@@HaileeandKendra you just put too much on, with not enough butter. 🤣😝

@HaileeandKendra as a strong recommendation, you only need the smallest amount spread over toast. It also goes well with cheese to break up the saltiness.

@@blank_17 I like putting vegemite on my ham and cheese sandwiches.

There's a clip from the tonight show with Hugh Jackman showing the correct way to eat vegemite. Proud to say as an Australian I have this for breakfast every morning. The amount Hugh demonstrates is the correct amount for someone starting off their vegemite adventure, but I've been eating that stuff for two decades and can eat it by the spoonful end genuinely enjoy it. Vegemite is definetly considered an aquired taste in large quantities, but in small servings (how Hugh showed), it really is a neat little treat that anyone can easily enjoy.

Oh and you're fine, don't worry about the expiration date. It means nothing to vegemite. That stuff is eternal.

your reactions is always funny with these. But the "hide it behind the pillow" approval is always cracking me up 😅 No, milk travel distance got nothing to do with the European chocolate taste. We dont threat (lipolysis) the milk to make it contain more butyric acid (tastes like vomit, also a lot in Parmesan cheese). European Choco also contains more milk and cocoa than American, and less sugar, also the milk is generally heated more.

Vegemite is from the bottom of a still essentially it's spent brewers yest mixed with veggies. Next time you make a pot roast use some Vegemite in the in the broth for the he gravy will give amazing flavour

watching you put all that Vegemite on your bread I was beginning to scream at my monitor, the amount that you put on there could well-and-truely cure cancer. It's supposed to be a THIN layer on top of butter/margarine on toast. It's actually pretty good when you're sick and can't really eat a lot, it satiates your appetite.
@HaileeandKendra Жыл бұрын
I mean… if I didn’t have an appetite I wouldn’t choose something like that, but that’s personal taste lol

I've been eating vegemite my entire life and you need to start at a very very small amount, 25 years in and I probably use half of what's on that toast😂 but it is a regular house staple. Pizza shapes are the best, cheese and bacon is good too. You should try a Tim Tam bomb, essentially bite each end off and use it as a straw. Milo can be hot or cold, most people eat the milo on top of the milk as well as stirring it in a little. I know we wouldn't be high but I think it would be cool to eventually rank country's snacks.

We would have to try snacks from A LOT more countries 😅 we haven’t tried enough to rate them yet!!
