Tomato Choka (2 ways) | Taste of Trini

Here's a quick and easy Tomatoes Choka recipe. This is a very popular breakfast dish in Trinidad and it's usually eaten with a lot of pepper. Of course you can customize it to your preference. Here are the ingredients I used...
Ingredients:
15 small tomatoes
1 head/ 10 cloves of minced garlic
1 hot pepper, chopped
1 onion julienned or cut into thin strips
1 1/2 tbsp oil to chunkay
salt

Your pan is not stained it is seasoned, it when there is a thin layer of oil on the pan, season pans gives you a better cooking texter/flavor compared to a new one. People who bake bread in seasoned pans know how important it is. 😉

when we chonkey tomato when heating the oil add one garlic and a tablespoon of geera seeds and let it burn then add it too the tomatoes it's the best flavors and taste you'll ever experience.

Tried your tomato choka and it was just amazing. Just added little bit of black pepper and green chilles for extra hotness. Had it with methi (fenugreek) roti. Awesome.
