This video is a little bit of livestream prep. I’m thinking of going LIVE when I get my hands on a sample pack in the future instead of recording a video 😊 and having a relaxed chat with you guys and answering your questions!

What a smart idea! Both Tamnavulin and Glen Moray are doing great things with different cask finishings which gives the 'average drinker' a good idea what the cask finishing concept is and how it can affect the spirit. These are all really good and their white wine finish is beautiful as well!

Skip to 7:00 to get straight to the tasting if time is short!

Another great video ash! I have the range apart from the port cask finish, like something in each of them to be fair. Often use them as a palate warmer for the evening so to speak. I do enjoy the double, although I do see what you are saying. The sherry is my go to from the brand, and the Spanish/american/german if I'm feeling fruity. The only one I don't really gel with is the white wine cask. But then I'm not a big white wine fan 🤷🏻♂️. They retail around £35 but you can usually find them somewhere from £22. Tempranillo I could only find in 1ltr bottles though, retail around £55. Nice enough, but I'd not replace at that price.

Oh nice one! I think you have the get the tawny now to complete the set 😂 I see what you’re saying with the Tempranillo, 55 does seem way too much. I did see the white wine go on sale for 23 during the sales but I didn’t go for it. Perhaps I should have. The tawny remained at 35 unfortunately for me. Since I haven’t tried the French or the American red wine, would you say any of those two are better than the 3 I had here? 🤔

The port cask is definitely on the list, as it's down to £25 it would be rude not to 😁 I prefer the French cabernet out of the wine finishes. On the nose I really only get the cask, but the palate gives me a spicy mulled wine, and the finish Cadbury fruit and nut. The finish is surprisingly long too. This one pops up in some of the big chain supermarkets too so easier to grab hold of than the German and American casks.

Tempranillo comes from Spain

Thanks for answering that 🙂 interesting how they chose 2 from Spain to go with the Spanish Sherries too and not the French or American
