I think SPAM is highly underrated and can taste good, just not straight from the can. Its at peak flavor when pan-fried IMO. It just needs that crispy, golden-brown edge. The slimy, goopy stuff (preservative) will cook away once the heats on. I slice it thinly, fry it, usually top with cheese and bread.
