I'm a huge Novelists fan and was a MASSIVE fan of Matteo (former vocalist). I was definitely sad that he moved on and went into this song with low expectations, and I was actually blown away. Something Novelists have lacked for years is that excitement, and while the last two albums were good in their own right, it's actually refreshing to hear this change.

I was super sad when Alazka disbanded as they were pretty much my favorite local band, but if this is what we get instead I'm all for it. That dancy middle part is so fucking good, really reminds me of Amo, especially of Nihilist Blues. Tobias honestly sounds like a really good fit for them

Lucky for me, this was my first meeting with NOVELISTS. That means I start with an open fresh mind, without the old style/vocalist to compare it with. I loved it so much. Bit of Skrillex, a guitarsolo that make my prog-heart scream of joy. I am at the moment checking their older stuff. Lots of cool stuff. But I actually enjoyed this new sound a lot more. Sorry :D

No problem, different people different opinions, in my case, I enjoy their old sound a lot more due to all the vibe they had, plus Matteo's amazing voice and lyrics but this new sound is also great so I'm excited about the future of this band.

I heard one old song by them but I dont even remember it, but I remember seeing their name quite often... So yeah, when this song got to recommended on Spotify, it blew me away, I came with an open minded too. Interesting because I followed them on their socials but didnt even know 3 songs by them, but I saw that they switch the vocalist. I dont know about the older one, but this one is sick af.

I think a great show of their new vocalist's voice is Dead End by Alazka, it's in a sense pretty similar to this song but more melodic and less electronic. I was SOOO excited to hear the guy is still in music, his vocals are crazy and this band is nuts. love this song so much

You should definitely check Kadinja then, it is the former band of Florestan (Novelists' guitarist) You may also want to check out their former vocalists new project Sal3m (Kadinja's guitar and bass players are in this band, actually ;) ) . Their last song, Love is a wonderful lie, is a real banger!

Didn't really get into novelists, their vocalist was unique but I wasn't a fan. I also wasn't a fan of the Alazka transition, but I loved Burning Down Alaska, and I love this song.

Imho this song is kinda meh. Don't get me wrong, I loved that solo, I really didn't expect that ass-kicking breakdown and I also think that Tobias is a really good fit. However, the guitars lack the signature complexity of a Novelists song for the first 2/3rds of the single, and I wasn't fond of those electronic sections, I don't really think they belong in Novelists. Of course, they're free to do whatever they want with their sound, I'm open to change. It's just that this is not the kind of change that I like.

You need to check out Diamonds to dust - Corpus Christi. They are heavy as hell itself and the dude's vocals will absolutely destroy you. (also they are a "Christian" band, no lie.)
