I am not French but I noticed how much music by French bands I am listening in the recent years. And not just heavy/alt. Talking about more heavy/alt specific then yeah French indeed feels like Aussie 2.0 situation back in the day (and to some extent till this day really) with the influx of so many cool and fresh bands. Good for you, guys. Giving a spotlight to Gojira in Olympics was also amazing.
