uh the stars are based on points the only way to get three stars in the first place is to avoid all the enemies no matter what

i think you can get hit like 1 time and still get a 3 star but it's based on how much points you get from eating and you also get extra points from the time bonus

That pretty much was a playthrough. It was the first time I played it and just had the timer running for a time on the leaderboard. A better run could cut out around 30 minutes I imagine. ^^
