E maj7 to F# m7! If a girl ever asks you to "play me something," PLAY THIS!!!! Ooo Ooo Baby Baby. "I did you wrong, my heart went out to play, but in the game I lost you, what a price to pay, I'm cryin', Ooo Ooo Baby Baby." You play like this, you better take the phone off the hook, know what I'm sayin! Beautiful Rick. I can just hear Smokey now.

This is pretty good R&B lesson, I have seen other R&B yt stuff and they use full chords, but this hits the nail on the head. I have studied your tabs for this, never felt so chilled. But when anybody shouts it is so irritating.... though I practise on acoustic, but till I get it right on acoustic I will try with electric. Thanks for the free pdf, though I only downloaded it for this lesson, it seems like an encyclopedia of gems.

Fantastic videos! The ideas from guys like Curtis Mayfield, etc. were/are some of the most clever, expressive, innovative, adaptable, grooviest playing ideas anyone’s come up with. And truly remarkable in the degree to which they exploit the unique possibilities of the electric guitar as an instrument. Freekin’ luv this stuff.

Why does Fmin7 look like an Amaj triad?? Plz help
@TastyGuitarcom3 жыл бұрын
Its F#m7 not Fm7...its all about context, they share the same notes on top, with the bass note playing F# it will sound like F#m7 with the bass on A it will sound like A major. Never think of a chord shape as only 1 possible chord ....that chord could be 10 different things depending on the context the bass note gives.

I love that tele, man. Im such a fuckin dork for a nice custom tele haha. I started out on a shitty knock off Tele-shaped guitar with a 3+3 headstock haha it was horrible. Me continuing to play guitar, thru the awful experience of playing that piece of absolute shit...was a trial of attrition. The only reason it got replaced was because of a guy who worked with my dad whi knew i played guitar (cause my dad would bitch about the noise and how i would 'complain' about the 10$ guitar he got me lol). That coworker of ym dads, came to a party my parents threw and he saw the thing i was wrestling with to squeak out a melody from. He talked to me and found out that i wasnt like clueless and actually liked playing enough that i didn't quit. So that dude, for some incredible and generous reason, came over one night... maybe like 3-4 days after that party. He asks me to come out to his truck to check something out. He put two hardcases on yhe tailgate and popped em open. One a strat and one a Tele. He told me to pick one. I remember thinking he was fuckin with me, cause i was kinda like ignored and not treated well as a kid (my parents would tell me they didnt have 2$ for a new notebook i needed, but they would buy my sister barbies fuckin corvette thw same day lol), so i didnt know if i should take it seriously or if hes gonna say haha sike idiot kid haha. So just looking at them i oicked the tele. He gave me, for free, i was 9yrs old. He fuxkin gave me a USA Lake Placid Blue Fender Tele. For free lol cause he knew my dad was a dick. He then proceeded to ckme over every weekend and play guitar with me and show me cool stuff. He gave me my first pedal and then he gave me my first real amp. He taught me a lot...he taught me that not all grown up men are fucking cold and unloving, passionless zombies. Definitely aweskme. Anywho, been rockin teles ever since. I built 4 and bought 1 custom cause i wanted one made of Koa and a rosewood board (can't get either of those teo woods where i am)
