Thanks Rick !! - I like to really take my time when I displace the note and break the old lick apart so it changes the rhythm /phrasing - maybe even bend into the displaced note and hang out there for a moment before going back into the familiar part of the lick.

Wow! That got my attention. 🤯 Also, hey Rick, I know it's kinda elementary for you but I wonder if you'd consider doing a 'fills' video on Rainy Night In Georgia? I'm interested in how your take on it would look. You're way more creative than I could ever be. I was noodling around with it the other day but got sort of stuck in a limited mud, if you know what I mean. Just a thought.

@@13thAMG thanks! I love the tune, i just think there are already so many lessons out there on it, but if I think I can do a different spin on it, perhaps

What does comping actually mean? I looked it up and all I could find was the act of musical accompaniment. I have seen it used in a variety of contexts.
@TastyGuitarcom20 күн бұрын
short for accompaniment, but in guitar terms it's basically playing rhythm

I really love how he holds the shape and points to which finger is playing which degree of the scale/arpeggio... Then builds on that groove in relation to the topic...golden
