TMNT2 is a classic beat-em-up game with 4 classic main characters: Raphael, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Donatello. The latter is the only turtle used in this movie.
This movie is Baxter ( tasvideos.org/... )'s new and improved version, which is an astounding 4 minutes faster than his previous version. Donatello has learned the secret ninja art of teleportation and... no, actually, a glitch that enables the player to move around extremely fast is used to hit all the enemies as soon as they come on screen. But most of the improvement comes from outstanding luck manipulation.

The Game of Ninja Turtles 2 for Nintendo 8 Bits is one of the best I've ever played, because it was a real success for Arcades. Phenomenal and too incredible. A Game that marked the history of video games! 😃😃😃

There was an issue of Nintendo Power back in the day that had a step-by-step walkthrough of this game. I can't remember the issue number, but it gave you a numerical figure on ALL the end of stage bosses ^-^ It was great seeing this game played in a TAS format. Thanks for the upload.

apparently that warping thing is triggered by pushing opposite directions at the same time?! (heard about a weird motion controller that could do that, and years later found an nes clone controller that could actually replicate that effect) but that's a wild TAS!

You could do the same thing in "Zelda 2" for Nes. The game wasn't formatted for both directional buttons to be activated at the same time so it makes them move at a rapid speed or glitch out

TAS? So....at this point how do you even justify making a video of this at this point. First "Tas" was "things that are technically possible by a human, but require frame perfect" to now what appears full on cheating and teleportation, wall clipping in other games, and I dont know, I think im starting to lose the appeal of a TAS when they keep puttin the goal post in wacky land.

...What? TAS runs were never about things that were "possible by a human" (that's a normal speedrun) but about pushing the limits of what could be done in a game without human limitations, which has always included things like luck manipulation and heavy glitch abuse.

Glitches are definitely possible by a human, and we should be differentiating between cheat and glitch, because if you call everything you don't like 'cheat' you would be imposing your personal opinion on the rest of the world. Nobody payed for this run/video so the author can make it however he wants as long it's possible using only the controls used to play the game. There are glitchless TASes as well (not on this game tho). If you want a glitchless TAS of this game you can make one yourself or just accept that no one wanted to make it. At least, for now.

TAS mean Tool Assisted Speedrun. So, if you want a speedrun that can be done by a person with a control, you can omit the TAS in you search, or look for glitchless. But complaining about someone using tools in a tool assisted speedrun in a tool assisted speedrun chanel is a dick move.
