Castlevania II: Simon's Quest (Japanese title: Dracula II: Noroi no Fuuin (ドラキュラII 呪いの封印) is the story of Simon's horrible weekend without sleep. Two years after defeating Dracula, the hero is physically weakened by Dracula's curse. He must gather Dracula's remains and incinerate them at the ruins of Castlevania in order to end the curse.
Through a death warp only present in the FDS version, Fortranm ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/F... ) and Burb ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Burb ) defeat Dracula in record time. Please read the authors' comments ( tasvideos.org/6085S ) for more details.

Yeah, that's Dracula. You can just casually saunter under death as he floats down at a glacial pace to try to touch you... which doesn't instantly kill you... IDK this game doesn't make sense. I still love it though.

Hang on! What version of the BIOS was _that?_ I'm only familiar with the one that has the nicer "Famicom" logo. That aside… _holy fruits,_ that was _nuts!_ it's like the game just… _gave up!_

I like the NES version. But NFDS version is better, in my opinion. But "a requiem" NFDS version is inferior to NES version

@@BonfireAyres Yes, "A Requiem" is extended in the NES version, and I prefer it. Still, I like the FDS version more for the entire soundtrack, instrument-wise.

Honestly, I always thought that Simon's quest had a lot of potental but it really fell FLAT* and metaphorically preceded to defecate on the living room floor with a smile and a wink because deep down it knew what it was doing was wrong but loved it all the same. It's kind of like SON's inbred cousin I suppose.

I dont think you understand the video.. its a TAS... tool assisted speedrun.. most if not all of this is possible in a real game but they use an emulator and re-do each move hundreds sometimes hundreds of thousands of times to make the shortest run possible. It's the run you would get if you had a machine playing that knew everything about the same.
