[TAS] Genesis Gunstar Heroes by Samsara in

Gunstar Heroes (1993) is widely considered to be one of the best action games on the Sega Genesis, but, ironically, was commercially unsuccessful due to poor promotion. It features a variety of melee attacks, as well as 4 basic weapons which can be combined in pairs (making a total of 14 combinations) - all densely packed in a swift and explosion-heavy gameplay spanning over seven uniquely designed stages. The author takes special care to showcase all the moves the game is capable of, using every possible attack and having lots of fun playing around in autoscrolling sections.
This movie is a little under 4 and a half minutes faster than the previous (tasvideos.org/945M.html) one due to more aggressive boss fights and a new movement technique. See the author's comments (tasvideos.org/5297S.html) for more details.
The encodes for this movie are also slightly larger than usual - this is due to an amount of colors and on-screen motion even the best codecs have problems coping with.

@@jaru4564 If you take a look at his artwork, yes, his hairstyle does give off a similar vibe to DMC5 Vergil. Then again it's a ridiculously specific thing I noticed, so don't mind me. I'm just still laughing at the fact that the TASer specifically had Red jump back at Green to teabag him. Would be even funnier in a normal playthrough if you can trigger Green's "come at me" animation at some point in the fight.

yeah you'd think all of Eagle Force would hurt, but nah the main body is pretty safe to hang out in like that. Seven Force in general is pretty lax with hitboxes, which i appreciate as someone who spent months trying to make three solid minutes of a single bossfight entertaining to watch :|

They do the same amount of damage per frame on Expert, and it's more consistent damage for Tails Force and Tiger Force since I can't always stay close to them.

Samsara oh i thought it was like a damage reset mechanic for the flame thrower - that maybe laser and flame thrower would have similar damage properties - so the ticks from seeker would help the flames
