Hey all, here's a fact check: - This is real. Sources verify that The Jeffersons aired multiple times in July 1980, and this recording could be from any of those. It’s currently believed to be from July 31, 1980, but again it might be any of the other airings. The tape was also broadcasted multiple times in Discord servers. I thought it was fake too at first, but everything is good here. - This is a Betamax tape, not a VHS. Why is this important? Because it's beautifully ironic: Search efforts have always focused on VHS recordings since that was what most households of the times had, leading to getting absolutely nowhere since the original partial find, yet the full logo was on a Beta, the route that most searchers totally ignored. It's a rather amusing failure in the find of this. - Everyone says it took 20 years to find it, because the OFFICIAL search began in the year 2004, but this logo hadn't been seen since 1982. So really, it took 42 years to recover, just only the last 20 were intentional. - The variant with a TV tube and blue background, known as the "Rising Star," DOES NOT EXIST. There are multiple people who claim that another logo is still lost, it's not. "Rising Star" birthed from the original 2004 post where an image was shared, but that image was merely a mockup designed from TAT's print logo. It was a combination of 4 real logos: Embassy, PITS Films, the TAT logo as seen in this video, and TAT's print logo. 4 real things all became mixed up into 1 fake closing logo, as nobody can accurately recall a 5-second animation at the end of a show from 40+ years ago. The search is over, there is NOT another logo to be found. - The find here, and the original partial find from 2018 (thank you Michael Pannoni), both happen to be accidents. Both people are tape collectors who just so happened to own a tape with the lucky orange star, and that is a beautiful thing. It's also really funny that all of the active effort put in by CLG/AVID was thwarted and went nowhere thanks to this find. Excellent work here, dude! What a way to send off 2024 and start the year off. You should be proud of yourself as a collector. Keep on collecting! For everyone, let this be a lesson that Betamax isn’t to be underestimated... there may be more discoveries waiting to be found on this forgotten format.

2022 was when we found the event versions of Training and Level 1 from Toonami's Trapped in Hyperspace game. Given the way I acted when that search was going (2017; the finding of the event versions of those two was an afterthought when Turner's CDN got opened), I doubt we'll get event Level 5 or, better yet, the post-event versions. At least I have Vice Terhune to keep me company!

This is a tremendous moment. I did not grow up knowing this logo watching TV, but I have watched this unfold over the years. (I did know the PITS logo in childhood and beyond and I am amused by those who have been interested through its extinction). 7 years ago when the partial discovery happened I was hoping someone would find this. For the past nearly 7 years, ever since Pepsi 9072 uploaded a partial TAT logo, everyone in the logo community wondered what the finished logo looked like. TAT became a hot topic in the logo community, and a plethora of "TAT logo found" videos and recreations of the full TAT logo were made. 7 years later, and the logo community's most wanted has finally been found at long last! The time has come, and the time is now! This is a historical moment in the logo community! The search for this TAT logo (in its full length) has been going on for nearly 7 years, and now the quest has finally been put to rest! The days of "TAT logo found" prank videos and TAT logo reconstructions are now over! This is the day we all have been waiting for ever since pannoni4 uploaded a VHS tape of commercial breaks recorded off CBS in the fall of 1980, which included the partial TAT logo that came after an episode of One Day at a Time, which was then uploaded by Pepsi 9072/Broken Saw on the very first day of 2018. New Year's Day 2018 to near the end of 2024. That's nearly 7 whole years of such a saga that we all thought was never going to end! No more searching for this logo! It's over! It's finally over! Well, at least for this version of the logo. Next, we need to find the "Rising Star" logo, which is another alleged variant of the logo of which reconstructions were made from 2015 to 2017, prior to the discovery of the partial TAT logo at the beginning of 2018.

​​@@DLCOrganization to bring some context here (it might be a bit long but here's what i know) Between 2011 and 2022, the logo community was trying to recreate the recalled THX cimarron audio. Since that happened, there was only the microcassette audio footage. but after 10 years and 6 months, and some footages of the incomplete variant, a KZbinr by the name of magicfly2001 uploaded the recalled audio footage. and since then, someone made an original audio footage after it was uploaded. that's what i meant.

When i've joined the search of this logo back in like 2022 (or before, like in 2021 for example), i was one of the few who tried and tried to go into some deep mysteries on the logo, contacting someone that is helpful and that it isn't Sony or WGN, etc. Despite some alternatives it was quite hard, so hard that i went inactive on that server (i did manage to return at some point but that didn't help that much.) But since the whole search is over, i like to say thank you very much for finding this whole thing... and as this got surfaced on the web, hopefully more would be out there something like this or other variants that it was rumoured throughout the wait and the hunts of it. (such as the different star movements and the ''TV Tube'' variant here and there, unless this is the only one it ever got made.) But until then, thank you very much for one Jeffersons tape that you have which includes an TAT logo, i appreciate you very much.
