Best way to measure mileage is by filling full tank petrol , driving for 50 or 100 kms and again fill full tank petrol , divide kms driven by amount of fuel filled... I always use this method for finding out mileage of any Vehicle.

Bought Tata Altroz DCA 2 months back, in Bengaluru City traffic with AC on, im getting 8-9kms per litre. Till now i drive close to 600km, only in the city and first service done a week back. Will get proper mileage, if i drive on highways, as in city traffic the max speed i can go is 40kmph in bumper to bumper traffic.

Bro i have XT Petrol.. Purchased it in Feb.20. Around 11000 km i have been driven. Highway Milage in plain area with AC 19-20.. In City 17-18. In Hilly area..like Himachal 14-15. All are in good.. Except Gear Box... Shifting in 3rd gear stuck all the time. But you will get used of it. Its a minor issue... But be attentive during gear shifting...in lower 1-2-3. All issue will get aside, when we do preference in the safety and strong built quality. Attractive design.. Best in class in the segment.

@Jaigopal I tried to demonstrate why some Altroz owners are facing low mileage and tried to tell the thing to follow for good mileage. Key points are below: 1. Reset trip meter every time before starting the new trip, never let the multiple trips to sum up in trip meter as mileage would be shown less in mid. Reason behind this is ecu of car drops mileage in mid when car engine is start but car is not moving, so car would show low mileage as car has to cover up this low mileage if trip meter is not reset. 2. Apply light foot on accelerator and change the gears at 2k rpm. Hope I satisfied your query.

Just go to the trip A or B whatever u want to reset and then click on the centre button that is present on the same arrow ( right side ) where u were able to navigate and then display says do u want to reset and then again hit the same button

No matter how careful and professional u drive it gives 8 -10 in bumper to bumper traffic.when road is clear and light traffic it gives 16 and it highways at 80 to 100 speed and cruise control it gives 18 to 20 mileage

My Tata Altroz has a special problem. After driving when the vehicle is parked for 4 to 5 hours, some 1 litre petrol is lost. To check my mileage I drove my car to nearest petrol pump which is 1.2 km from my house and full tanked it neck to neck. Drove back and parked it. Next day again took to same petrol pump. It consumed 1.1 litre of petrol. I repeated it for one week and each day it consumed average 1.2 litre of petrol. Next week I drove to same petrol pump but dint fill petrol came back and parked it. Repeated this for the whole week and after end of the week i.e after 7 trips I full tanked it neck to neck and it consumed approx 8 litre of petrol. When going for long drive(100km) with one halt getting 14kmpl mileage. It seems when engine cools down some 1 litre petrol is lost. Other Altroz owners can you please check if you have this kind of issue. Service centre has no answer for this, I showed them also.

A vehicle should have speed of 80-90 kmph minimum that too for around 2000 - 2200rpm... 60-70 kmph is too low speed for highways hence not practical to drive on this speed.

Tarun bhai... Thanks for all your efforts. I am facing an issue with engine start. The battery indication stays on and engine doesn't start. The indication goes away if I try to start the engine after some time. This issue doesn't show up when I start my car initially but it only shows up when I run the vehicle for sometime. I have complained to the service center but the issue is still not resolved. The problem doesn't occur very often but whenever it happens either I am in the middle of traffic or in a crowded place. Do you have any suggestion ? I can share the video of the issue to your email account if you would like to have a look.
