LPT 3718 BS-IV Highlights
April 17, 2020: The Tata LPT 3718 is a customisable truck that comes with a chassis and cowl but no cabin. It has an axle configuration of 6x4 and a good ground clearance of 250 mm. The gross vehicle weight is around 37 tonnes while the maximum payload capacity lies at around 27,405 kilograms.
As for the braking, there are standard air brakes provided. However, unlike most other trucks from the company, this model has ABS given as a standard fitment. Further, the suspension is handled by parabolic springs up front and semi-elliptic leaf units for the rear.
As for the power mechanism, the company offers the regular 5.9-litre six-cylinder engine that can make a maximum power of 175 bhp at 2,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 700 Nm at 1,200 rpm. A six-speed manual unit does the transmission duties.
