My friend has mg Hector plus diesel.. he is a gr8 Man he put DEF in diesel chamber instead of DEF chamber . His engine got choked Mg took week to give his vehicle back. That why Tata put DEF chamber in the boot ..We got very smart people In our Country like my friend..

Bro ur point is right... I think def should last longer... may be this is not a frequently occurring problem and this is an uncommon situation which you are facing. But, even if this is true for every harrier, I dont think it would be a huge problem as the service interval is 7500km and not 15000. They only refill engine oil as an extra at 15000 but at every 7500km, they will do all other other checks which would also include def. If you are following tata service u should do it every 7500kms or else atleast 10000km if you are out of warranty. I guess that should be sufficient. I am planning to purchase gravitas as soon as it launches. But I really hope-although not necessary, the def will be sufficient for at least 15-16000kms just in case

@@Devenderkamboj254 thanks for your input bro. I also have nexon which met with an accident in jan 2019. The accident was major where the axel broke. They took 1 and half months but apart from that the service is good. I guess 1-2 months is expected for an accident like that. It may be true in your case but idk when you have faced the problem. 2019 jan is about an year back and I stay in Hyderabad. The orange tata team took good care and service was descent. In other hand whenever I take my grand i10 diesel to service, the guys over there just try and rob me each and every time I go there making at least 12-15k bill every-time I visit for service for the hatchback. So it depends upon the individual’s experience and I am far happy with tata’s service compared to hyundai in my case
