I had the same problem with hexa xt. the right side tip of the double barrel silencer just broke due to rusting. It costs 10554 + labour for replacing just the end part. I removed the end and took it to a welding shop. The metal is Galvanised steel and welded all the places and rusted holes. Brought it back home. Removed all the surface rust by sanding and then painted with heat resistant silver paint. now there is no problem. People get his problem again and again because they replace the part with the same faulty design part. So even if you replace the part, sand i, paint it so that it remains problem free. I did welding for 250 and painting can was 700. Problem was solved in under 1000Rs.

That’s a very nice approach.. well I would have done it if my car wasn’t covered in warranty.. I have 5 years of warranty.. so I’ll not do this till my warranty lapses but after that I ll do it if problem again arises..

I have my Hexa 2018 and not such major work was done just a door lock problem was there and a little bit major thing is hand break I told them to check it they said it is ok and all 😮‍💨😮‍💨… and it’s 40000+ km at today’s date

Bhai woh caliper pins pr greasing hoti h uspr high temperature grease lagti h specially par uski cost yeh bohot zyada lete h bahar se kralo max 300 mei ho jaaegi grease bahar se lelena maruti se ya boodmo se 35 ka packet aata h and wph zaruri hoti h it's not unnecessary

I have an August 2017 Tata Hexa XE. It has done about 26400 kilometres during the last five years ( till 03/11/2022). All the driving was in city/highway. In first week of November 2022 I noticed a crack in the silencer and took the car to Tata Service Centre in Bhopal. Detailed inspection revealed five large cracks in the two portions/parts of the Tail Pipe Assembly Post Silencer and one large crack in the Assembly Main Silencer. I also learnt that this was a common problem in Tata Hexa due to which design of silencer has been changed and now comes with a single exhaust. I am surprised as to why Tata Motors hasn't recalled models with faulty parts for inspection/ replacement. I was plain lucky to have discovered the cracks by chance & replaced before complete breakdown somewhere enroute. It cost me Rs 19742/- including parts & labour. If you own a Tata Hexa please get the entire Silencer assembly checked for cracks as a precautionary measure.

@@DeepuSingh-qg3iy bro it depends on your driving.. if you are driving on highway on 80-90 you ll get almost 16-17 actually.. but as u pick up the pace 13-14.. in city it consumes fuel still you’ll be able to get 12-14.. these figure are for normal driving. If you drive rash tab to koi gadi mileage nhi degi.. 🙏

There is manufacturing defect in exhaust pipe of tata hexa... My exhaust has broken 4 time in span of 2 and half year..... Thought tata has replaced it free of cost under warranty but its a big problem..... In dec 2021 Nili tata (dimapur) has replaced it 4th time and they told me that the silencer is modified one and now no problem will come..... I hope my this silencer will work fine.

They have replace exhaust pipe later in 2019 facelift version with one silencer. I have 2019 Dec model.

If your vehicle is less than 3 year then silencer is under warranty.... Don't pay for exaust pipe
