Tata Starbus EV: First Full-Electric bus
Designed and developed by Tata Motors, the Tata 4/12m Low Entry Electric Bus is the first full-electric drivetrain. It is a modern state-of-the-art solution for urban transport requirements. Tata Motors is endorsing electric buses with a view to modernise urban transportation, reduce pollution and provide enhanced features for passengers - such as improved safety and comfort, ease of boarding for the elderly and children. With zero-emission and noiseless operations, the newly designed electric bus meets the requirement for cleaner public transport vehicle.

Full-electric drivetrain with zero emissions for clean air
Fatigue-free driving without clutch and gear shifting
Roomy interiors which can be customised as per the application and regulations
High safety and security with Intelligent Transport System (ITS)

HV Battery - Lithium-ion Battery Pack ( ~ 250 KWH and Scalable as per the range requirements)
Fast Charging - Yes (2 to 3 hours for full charge)
Also, It offers Regenerative braking for high efficiency

एकदम झूठ, एक बार चार्ज करने पर यह बस सिर्फ अगले पंद्ह दिनो तक बिना चढाई वाली मखमली सडक पर ही सिर्फ पचास किमी दूरी तय करने वाला वाहन अर्थात् दो किमी दूरी के मात्र दस फेरी लगाने वाला वाहन से ज्यादा कुछ नही है जल्दी खराब होने वाली बेटरी कीमत लाखो मे है भाडा वसूली के बजाए, बडे रेलवे स्टेशनो बडे कारखानो अस्पतालों मे विकलांगो का वाहन डब्बा है अगर एसी सफलतम मजबूत तकनीक होती तो रेलवे क्यों अरबो रु लगाकर नीचे पटरी और खंबे लगाकर ऊपर बिजली आपूर्ति की लाईन क्यो डाले विमान कंपनियां क्यो अरबो लीटर तेल मे खरबो खर्च करे. प्रदर्शनी का शोकेस डब्बा हैं.

@@princh1231 it cant man even if we try and use this bus in highly developed cities of Hyderabad and Bangalore it will fail cz it has a charging time of 7 hour so after 2 - 3 round trip it needs to be charged so it wont generate any profit and it cant be operated we need 4 electric bus to replace one disel ac bus so unless govt provides a surplus funds these cant be operated

Another awesome vehicle from Tata. Though, I wish they had put in modular batteries (like in the aether bikes) which can be swapped out either at the Bus depot or can be carried on another vehicle to a bus that has run out of juice. In India, I'm pretty sure, the users of these buses will not limit the use of these buses and it will barely get any time to charge at the depots.

Compared to two-wheeler battery cars and buses batteries are massive in size and weight. It is difficult to design the vehicle in which the battery can be detached by user. Typical two wheeler battery : 3 - 5 KWHr (Weighs about 15 - 20 Kgs) but for cars and buses the battery capacity is varies from 70 KWHr to hundreds of KWHr. See the difference

@@manojguha2046 Agreed about the weight and size, But when its parked for a few hours in a depot, its possible using levers and pulleys, or even trays. 6-8 hours of charge cycle for public transport seems like a waste of time.

@@KalpeshPatel78 Yeah, hydraulic hoists systems must be established in battery swapping areas. If fast charging is introduced reducing the charging time to 1 hour or less then charging the battery is a better option

A Masterpiece Vehicle, all excellent features. Thanks to Tata's. I am worried only for the exterior color scheme. It should be visible at Night. If the use is intended for Highway and Countryside commutation. 👌👌🇮🇳

Not usable with 150km range..... And that too with 1.6cr... CNG buses are far more practical and non polluting... But good thing is they are trying to innovate... That is appreciable...

151 km range is little less as it takes 6-7 hrs to recharge.. Due to this I don't think it will be seen in public service...
