Tata Tiago is a great car .looks very compact and pleasure to drive. Definitely value for money. But when you make a review drive it on rugged roads and small towns. you are driving it on one of the best roads in India and it will be pleasure to ride any vehicle on that road let alone Tata Tiago.

Manglesh Bhalla for your information each car is good on its own right. There are positives and negatives in each car. Just becoz one car is light weight compare to other car you guys taking reference to the accidental part and says which will be protect occupants in case of if it turns turtle and many other bla bla bla..... the most useless car from maruti is celerio.. i have no idea why people even opt for celerio when they have wagonr which is more spacious if there budget is bit tight and if they have more bucks then opt for ignis or swift which offers both comfort as well as performance..

Ofcourse it is is spacious if you consider that worthless 1 ft extra headroom. But if you observed most of the adult indians,, do you think that they even need that extra headroom considering their body shape???

Thanks for the nice review. I am looking to buy an amt hatch shortly and I like the Tiago amt very much. My only concern is whether its as reliable in the long run as the Celeiro AMT?? and whether the performance is at least as good as the Celerio AMT? Obviously it can't compare with the performance of the Swift; but I will be happy if its performance is at least up to Celerio standard. It more comfortable and good looking than the Celerio for sure. So any help and suggestion will be welcome.

Finally I could not say much fault on the design of this Tata car. Really came well. Tata should consider to add more feature and replace with 4 cylinder engine. Not sure why this comes with only 3 cylinder. Shape of the car well suits for highway but not the engine. Waiting for more power with the same model.

Mr. Asish. Thanks for the nice review. I have a request. Please do a comparative test drive between Tiago amt and Celerio amt with more stress on their performance. I'm confident that on comfort, features and asthetics Tiago is the clear winner. So if the performance is at least at par with the celerio amt, I will book the Tiago. In fact I have already liked it so much. But as your review only shows the Tiago alone, it just leaves that small information we all need. That is the performance and nvh level against the celerio amt. So please comment and help me on this.

Optima Gaming You cant simply compare Tiago with Punto Abarth or even polo. For the cost of an abarth you can get 2 Tiagos with some additional accesories.

Optima Gaming Reliable enough to not give you much troubles. VW's engines can be more reliable. Tiago',s is a newer unit. If you're planning to buy, Tiago will more than satisfy you for what it delivers at that price but if one has budget for polo then definitely polo is the better car to buy, Tiago being more value for money. Reliability quotient is really high of the Honda and Maruti 1.2L,1.5L,1.0L petrol engines if that's what one is looking for

Bharat Bhatt Talking about the zeta AMT variant, you'll be paying 50,000₹ over the delta AMT variant for alloy wheels(those look boring IMO), push button start, rear wiper and retractable mirrors but still miss on seat height adjust, climate control etc thus I feel Delta is a more value for money proposition. If you can stretch your budget you can opt for Baleno delta CVT which has a significantly better transmission than AMT, additionally you'll get more more rear and boot space and climate control as an additional feature.

Baleno Also I have to drive 90%in city so Ignis rocksss. Though Baleno is a best in its segment Ignis provides a lot more features and is good How abt AMT Transmission is it good in Ignis

Bharat Bhatt Alright In many cases CVT has better fuel efficiency than manual eg Honda city similar to AMT, overall its a better transmission than AMT because one gets a smoother ride especially in city. So that should not be a concern for you Ignis's compact dimensions, high ground clearance and good visibility are a boon in city. Baleno zeta MT seems to offer few more driver focused usable features than top of the line ignis alpha MT at similar price like telescopic steering, electronic anti glare mirrors, armrest whereas Ignis gets touchscreen and LED headlamps. Ignis is a better car to zip around in city, is well loaded and the AMT variants are cheaper so definitely a good buy and you need not worry about the transmission, just clarifying about CVT.

Mohak Sethi Again its a matter of personal preference - Convenience vs features and fun(more control) Does SX+ get 6 airbags?? If yes I would have picked SX+ AT if I had to. Though our car has push button start, I am sure that I can easily live without it. Your usage must be high thats why would be considering the diesel right? So for regular commuters AT makes sense. If its driven less in the city then manual can be better. It it was VW's DSG I would simply pick the DSG over manual.
