Its always a common thing that no one will recommend a tata in any segment.The only reason is because of the their past experience that's been made by an indica and tata sumo.About indica by 2003,there's no car in india with ample space,good and practical looks,good to drive,have some good economy and a diesel engine.We all needs all these things, but can only pay some 3 lakhs as max only since we all are indians. For a company by keeping all these points for production,its no surprise that the durablity will be less,and we all do accept that point.

Well, In case of lower segments "Maruti" might lack basic automated features, but It is the 1st and the oldest one to give the best fuel economical ,low maintainable and good quality engines to the Indian Market. In Middle segments, It offers the best of luxury with the good quality though fuel economic engines in a package. One should prove out to be the powerful, low maint., yet fuel economic under affordable price, to beat up their Indian-Japanese rival Maruti-Suzuki.

It also delivers well on space and comfort and is fun to drive as a nimble hatchback. Above all, it delivers better mileage than its manual counterpart. The AMT is slow and jerky agreed, but it still makes driving in our perennially clogged city roads easier on the driver. The Celerio AMT is the need of the hour for an urban Indian commuter and a decent overall car otherwise. On the other hand, the dharma of an automatic transmission is to make daily city commutes hassle-free. The Tiago's AMT fulfils its duty but in an unyielding manner and dictates the way it should be driven, forcing you to adapt to its calm and composed style. If you can do that, the smooth shifts make it a breeze to drive. But if you are in a hurry, a simple flick will put it in manual mode and turn the lazy Tiago AMT into a fun to drive hatchback. 3 adults can sit in Tiago comfortably. Being a 3 cylinder engine the motor is not that refined, the noise and vibration does filter in the cabin a bit but it is tolerable.

The worst buying experience or extremely painful experience with Tata Motors...!!! Taking advance from customer, forced customer to get loan...customer submit the loan approval letter..then customer hand over the bank cheque of the loan amount and the rest of amount also to the dealer but the tragedy is that there is no integrated communication between Tata Motors Management - The Dealer - & The Customer. Customer do lot of follow up with dealer - with Tata motors head office mumbai - & the person handling to those dealer but - NO CERTAINTY OF THE DELIVERY TIME. Nice car - worst management.

Maruti cars have generally good re-sale value however, Tiago is built on a completely different platform and has managed to be the game changer for Tata. The car is better than Celerio in almost every aspect however, it would be too early to give a judgement on the re-sale value.

I bought Celerio and have done 20K KMS in that and I WAS pretty satisfied until I saw Tiago's launch...... This car has won me over.... but bad luck.... have to stick with Celerio for a while now..... Celerio has some pretty bad issues which i noticed like low torque at low rpm.... noise... EEC interference with driver.... vibration at idle... and less accessories for the price..... other than these... Celerio is a pretty good car... Robhust, spacy, economical, mid and high end torque, endurance, comfort etc....

+Rahul choudhary The petrol Tiago is a good car to go with considering the features. It feels a bit under powered. However, will be better for daily office drives . The NVH levels are a little on the higher side but are manageable. Over and all it is good car to go with. The diesel variant has an all new Revotorq Engine which experiences a bit of turbo lag, but if you drive it in right gear with right amount of thrust you can achieve better mileage and better output from your Tiago.

After Mistry Cyrus has take over the reigns of TATA, Tata motors has been producing very decent products. But, unless its able to shed the image of Taxi car they will not be able to attract buyers and compete with Maruti. Like Maruti, a they should separate the distribution channel of its premium variants. Second they should be able to offer after sale servicing in a premium outlet. No one wants to rub shoulders with a Cab guy, shabbily dressed when you go for servicing the car. The attitude of the service engineers is also different in such places.

I am a Tata Safari owner since 2013. It has been the worst mistake I have made in my life. The vehicle has been to the workshop over 50 times in less than 30 months with repairs under warranty to the tune of Rs 2 lacs. I must have lost my sanity temporarily when I chose to buy this car. I would not recommend this car to even my worst enemy. After sale service is pathetic as well. STAY AWAY. PERIOD!

I am confused between tata tiago xz (5.5lakh) petrol and Baleno delta petrol(6.6lakh). I will use it in cities only for around 30km per day and sell it after 3 to 5yr.
