Always a pleasure to stop by and watch one of your shaves with a side of waffle! I always think it's funny how people react to rain. I had to take my nephew to soccer practice (and I live in a very rainy area of the Pacific Northwest) and the other parents were hiding under a tree or getting soaked. I had brought an umbrella and was staying quite dry, and I thought, you folks have lived here for years, you knew it was raining, and not one of you brought an umbrella. Madness! lol. Nice shave John! That brush handle is really nice 👌 I'm glad those blades worked out, alot of razor maker branded blades are not very good. SOTD: RazoRock Game Changer 84 with a Personna Lab Blue blade, Cobble Hill Farm maple burl and resin 26mm synthetic brush, Nivea shave cream tube, and HC&C Badass splash that I made with the scenting oil and some Stirling unscented splash. Very nice razor you had. Had a bit of trouble lathering though. I agree about some of the companies. Sometimes the best shaves are the ones dont cheapest. Arko, proraso, they give fabulous shaves. No where near the price of other companies. Chiseled face offers great products a lot cheaper then the others. Give them a try sometime john. Have a great week mate 👍🍺

You always manage a close shave. I agree that the shaving soap/cream companies are taking us for a ride...and losing me as a customer. There are too many off-the-shelf soaps and creams that give great shaves. My favorite inexpensive shave creams are Gillette Pure and Palmolive. TOBS and GFTrumper creams are excellent too. "Wet the Face" soaps are also soft and easy to face lather. I've gotten into mostly a face-lathering mood in recent months. I only use my PAA and Stirling soaps about 2-3 times a month. Based on your praise of that Floid balm, I have put it on my wish list. My favorite (and cheapest) balm is Dove Men+Care Ultra Hydra Cream. It has a very mild scent and really soaks into those open pores. It goes with all my splashes. Sorry to waffle on...as you are apt to say. Cheers, John!

Classy razor shave today, I think some soap Artisans are releasing far too many new scents in a short time and collectors like me are getting turned off. As for prices I shop within my own budget and don't collect the over priced brands, higher price does not mean better shaves, actually my collection is so big now that more soap is not on my agenda. Commercial soaps like TOBS, Proraso, LEA, Gillette, Palmolive, etc make some great soaps and creams for very little money, compared to Artisan and I will still get a great shave from their lathers. Nice shave John. The razor and blades did a great job. The shaving cream not so good. I may have to try the Floid balm. How does it compare to Aqua Velva 5 in 1? Take care.

Hi lee, the lather was plop😡, lol the balm for me isnt as absorbant as 5 in 1 but still good, but the scent on it is phenominal, so id still put my beloved 5 in 1 at 10, but floid steemed in at 9 👍👍😁, have a great week mate 👍 👍 😁

Why would you shower after you shave? A shower hydrates the skin in preparation for the shave. Plus the shower is going to wash away the balm and after shave you apply before the shower. Inquiring minds want to know.

Hellooooooo, for me, any benifit from showering before can be achieved by a good face wash in very hot soapy water before i press record, the balm works its magic as a clean up, but boy oh boy, the feel of the hot shower on freshly shaved skin is just awome, after im dried off, i re apply the balm, my skin loves it, give it a try, it'll change your life 😁😁😁👍👍, have a great day mate 👍 👍
