Yes, during filming they were going through a break-up already. First began in February 1998 when things started to get sour. By the end of season four and him filming his last appearance, their relationship was already done in April 1998. But still they were able to put down a great performance. That is talent indeed. And it also makes sense in the way their relationship came on the tv-screen as part of the storyline.

@Angelina Agree and disagree. There are aspects about Jennifer Aniston you can call authentic and inauthentic. Being too much into her looks and high maintenance (blond hair etc.) figures the inauthentic part. However, her personality is still relatively down to earth in comparison to the other known female actors who can't handle fame that well. I go both ways.

It's so weird to hear that Jennifer and Tate had already broken up by the time they filmed 'Friends' together. They did a good job of hiding the off-screen tension. I was really rooting for their characters, Rachel and Joshua, to stay together. The Ross and Rachel "we were on a break" thing had already got annoying by that point, and it was refreshing to see Rachel have feelings for somebody else. It's a shame that the writers didn't keep Joshua in the storyline for very long. Maybe they decided that it would be too awkward for Tate and Jennifer to keep playing a couple, as they had just broken up in real life.

The latter with Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux most notably of course. It is indeed interesting to see how a man can grow. It is obvious to see that Tate is feeling remorse for that he led her go back in the day. Probably because he did *not* want to marry her and commit fully to their relationship. After all, in the show it became obvious that this was a probably reason, since the writers were elaborating on their break-up anyway. You never stop learning.

Her heart was obviously broken, also watching Brad moving on so quickly with Angelina Jolie. Jennifer was still grieving the loss of a marriage and future she had planned. Then of course two months after the announcement of their divorce having Brad Pitt brag about his new found flame Angelina. That hurt her really bad that made it more difficult to trust another man.

Wrong! They were *never* engaged. They did wear traditional Irish Friendship rings. She got this as a gift during their one-year anniversary. Also, yes they first began dating in November 1995, but soon it broke off. However they met each other a couple of weeks later again, and from February 1996 onward until February 1998 they were definitely a couple. There were further numerous reasons for their eventual break-up. It was definitely not because Jennifer did not want to become a mother and raise a family together. She admitted this an interview back in July 1997. Tate did *not* like the attention they were having and the paparazzi that were constantly following them. Also, marriage seemed to have been an important reason. This fully explains why the writers were elaborating on this in the show. Jealousy was very important, since Jennifer's career was skyrocketing etc.

My friend and I looked at each other and thought, what does Rachel see in him. Interesting point of view and definitely contains important truths. Ironically enough, her father, who is a well known actor in Hollywood too, was discouraging her from following a similar career in acting because of the heartbreak she would suffer. It sort off became a reality after going through this with Tate, then with Brad and finally with Justin Theroux. Jennifer had to find out the hard way that Hollywood is a difficult place to find your soulmate or men in general willing to stick with you through the good times and bad times etc. Nevertheless, what is most important is that Jennifer as a person in real life has *never* lost her class, grace, dignity and humility in the way how she has been handling issues ever since her divorce with Brad. Not trying to search for negative attention, writing nasty tweets or appearing in these talkshows etc. She really has kept a low profile so far. Meaning that you're never too old to learn. Yes, Brad was karma in some sort off way. You still feel bad for their three biological children who did nothing wrong. But in the end the issues of commitment and marriage came to resurface and bother his relationship within Angelina too. You've got to realize at one point that you will *always* find some person in your life that may be even more perfect for you than the partner you're currently having.

Really, high maintenance? Full of herself? I have been *unable* to find anything about this on the internet. Contrary, all her co-stars came to admit that Jennifer was a genuine, nice and very attractive lady. Take for example her co-star on Friends, David Schwimmer, who back in the day made the admittance that it was hard to find a woman out there in Hollywood that is as attractive and funny as she is. You could also listen to Tom Shadyac, the director of Bruce Almighty, one of her biggest box office hits, who came to admit how funny and such a sweet person she was. The fact that today she is living a pretty much down-to-earth life in Los Angeles, with not much attention in the media, it is proving the contrary. Tate is probably just sour, similar to Vince, for having let her slip away and realizing what they miss now. If only they were smarter back in the day.
