Taty! Thanks for taking us on this historical journey💥💥💥. Your versatility of topics is manifesting itself in the different videos you are putting out. Did not know of the existence of this mosque, and that was great education. So who maintains it? Is it community maintained or government is involved too? I think it should be designated as a historical site and funds earmarked for it's up keep. Ghanaian historical sites need to be maintained and the history and stories told to generations unborn. The castles in Cape Coast and along the beaches get a lot of attention and focus, but there are many historical structures and places littered across the Ghanaian landscape🏰. Bravo for placing the spotlight on the mosque👏🏾👏🏾. Your tour guide was great, and hope people book him on touring the North. So so much to see. Once again great job, and keep the content coming!

The mosque might have been built in the 12 century before the Europeans discovered it,that's 200 years after it was built during the Mali empire(ancient Ghana) which included Ghana. The empire was ruled by Abu as the King, the grandfather of Musah Mansah. But one day he embacked on a navigation because he wanted to know the end of the sea,but he never returned, It is believed that he run out of food and water and eventually died. His son,Sondiata(Musah Mansah's father) was therefore crowned the King of the empire who also eventually died and handed power over to his son Musah Mansah. He built most of the mosqueses in west Africa and some parts of North Africa. He is the greatest and richest King of all time.He at a point controlled the prices of gold in the whole world.
