I've used Maya for over 25 years as an animator and I just started learning Unreal less than a year ago. Even though I haven't had a chance to use this wonderful tool, just from following your development on it and your animation endeavors on Discord, I know that this is exactly what I was missing to make the leap into animating in Unreal vs. using the Maya Live link, so thank you dearly for all the effort put in and as soon as I start using Tatools, I'll go into Paying or Donating User mode for sure. Happy holidays, can't wait to start animating with Tatools!

This project is great and it will benefit Unreal animators a lot! Working selecting controls only via viewport seems crazy to me. If you appreciate I would like to leave you some feedback and ideas just because I feel this will be a prominent part of my workflow: - Selection groups can't be undone in a single command (selecting "all" button force me to a long serie of ctrl-Z when I change my mind) - I dream about a more flexible picker, editable without enter the blueprint graph, it can be handy to add specific control buttons or even build my picker for an entirely different rig (e.g. non bipedal). I'm thinking about animschool picker for Maya or other similar. I can't even imagine what technical limit Uneral poses to this developments, but I hope this will be useful. Anyway thank you for your effort, keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback: re: selection groups: you just click in the viewport (or the sequencer) to deselect them all. Sadly, selection events don't go into the undo stack as transactions. you could alternatively just select one of the controls with left click, which would also clear out the rest of the selection. re: flexible picker: I might make a quadruped picker at some point and definitely plan to support one-click control rig rigs, but more flexible than that and really it's just easier to duplicate the widget blueprint and go to it. If someone has a good concept for that and wants to contribute to tatools, I'm all for that though! I'm also currently working on the Tatoolbar, which is an animbot-esque horizontal mini-widget with all the functionality except for the picker itself... keep the feedback coming!

@@threepeatgames Just started using it in 5.5 and its smooth as butter :) My only idea, is that it would be cool to have an option to display a second smaller widjet in the window? I do a lot of animations of pilots in cockpits and have to fiddle around finding the widget, but Tatools is saving my life!

I am trying to use the attach bone from your plug-in, but I do not think I am using it right. Usully in maya I just add a parent constraint. But when it comes to UE I am lost in the UI.

So you animate the weapon bone like its the card instead of the actual card object and toggling constraints (which is, if I recall correctly, how Epic's animator was doing it in one of their streams)? I guess it may be a quicker method, but less flexible for some cases.

oh, I animate the card and then just parent constrain the weapon bone to the card, that’s the easiest way.

It's great to hear about an update. When will V2 make it to Fab? Unreal 5.5.1 just came out and it seems to port everything from the older versions without any issues.
