I'm Slovak and brothers and sisters trust me - when Czech People want to make something very very special - they do make it special and also make it with love. Both Tatra and Skoda are best value for money.. I would like to think that Tatra are the best trucks available today. Their price and running costs are nothing in coparision with other brands like Merc, or Volvo. Tatra was, is and always will be the best.

@MingGuoLi Tatra 813 Kolos was produced 1967 - 1982. They produced over 12 000 of them. Its funny that its the best truck still yet its more than 40 years old :)

První projekt byl předložen v roce 1959. V roce 1961 se k projektu připojilo Polsko, jež potřebovalo nahradit staré sovětské obrněné transportéry BTR-152. V té době se již prováděly armádní testy. Polská strana se zaměřila na vývoj korby a československé podniky na podvozek.

@MingGuoLi Its still used but it takes a lot of gas to run it and in the time of money you will choose truck that will barely make it with 1/2 fuel consumption. But if there is need Tatra can still produce heavy trucks. The 815-7 8x8 is very similar and very good in terrain also. The rock as fire trucks!

Czech designed, Polish built with English semi-automatic pre-selector gear box from the old London Bus!! Made under license......Great vehicle is a little complicated!

hhh, it's not polish scot, but OT64 SKOT ( Stredny Kolovy Obrneny Transporter ) with engine "tatra 928.14" and chassis from tatra 813 and it's made in czechoslovakia and body is from Poland

Actually, that is not an M35 deuce...Just looks a little similar. I assure you, it s a Tatra, along with everyone else who knows something about trucks...

SKOT (Średni Kołowy Opancerzony Transporter) produced in Lublin, Poland by Fabryka Samochodów Ciężarowych. Czechoslovakia supplied the driveline components: the engine, transmission and axles.

@MingGuoLi Well sometimes you need heavy machinery sometimes you need more fuel efficient trucks. The market needed trucks for concrete, rocks etc. These machines are more likely to take big rocket on their back and go camping into the wild with it. So the market moved from Army into also private sector - than Terrno products were introduced. 815-7 is modern trnaportable truck. But it has smaller base so its not that stable as 815.

@HowkeyLL My mistake. This was 7 months ago. I use to think the Kolos is the 815. Isn't 815 and 815-7 suppose to be better? What makes 813 better than its replacements?
