The tightening of the shifter finger nuts is taking up all the machining clearances in the slots and tabs of the forks and fingers in the direction of the rotation of the nut pulling the shift fork in that direction causing that tilt Because of the nuts being on opposite sides the tilt is going in two different directions

that could be some of it but not all of it. i have not had this problem before. i think it just comes down to import parts tolerances. tatro
