It is looking so beautiful! Great job adjusting the design to make the rings fit while keeping the collar looking SO much like the vintage one. Still working on my medallions. 💕

Great Maria, glad you like what I've done. Making good progress on the neck edge so hope to film some of that this week perhaps. Where are you at with the medallions?

Lol, my work isn't as gorgeous as yours! I have 5 more medallions and then the 3rd row of the outer collar will be completed. I am really enjoying this tat along, thank you

The collar is looking beautiful! I taught myself to tat almost 25 years ago…how I wish I’d have had access to your channel, then! You’re a wealth of information, and so talented. I’m not certain if I’ve missed you discussing it previously, but do you have any advice for choosing thread sizes when using vintage or antique patterns such as this one? I’ve found several Victorian patterns I’d love to make, but am unsure of what threads to use. Thank you so much for all your wonderful tutorials!

Hello and thank you for your comment and compliments! In the case of this vintage book, it was stated that the pattern required size 10 thread (thread size used stated for all the patterns in that book in fact). If it's not stated, then really it's up to you and any pattern can be made with any size thread, depending on the final size you require your item to be. I tend to use size 20 for most things but would use finer for a handkerchief edging for example: a size 40 or 60 say. I understand that if you were making a baby bonnet however, it would be important to have the right size thread so the bonnet would fit but for edgings and such, it's more a matter of preference. Not sure my answer helped! :-)
