Tattoo artists, what was your worst mistake? How did the client respond?

Any one else confused on the fact that people get the tattoo before the payment is given? I always paid upfront.

May differ on the state or place. I'd prefer to pay upfront but most people where I'm at charge a deposit then you pay the full amount at the end. Or if it's small just pay all at the end.

I was going to tech school with a guy who was kicked out of the Marine Corps due to injury during boot camp. he showed us his tattoo "UNTIED STATES MARINES". I never laughed so hard.

The captions don't bother me but, in the description you mention that the captions are hand-typed but, there are visible errors in the captions and they are incorrect in many stories. For example, in story 5 there are visible errors with murphy's law spelling when referred to different parts of the story. This just leads me to be suspicious that there is an editing AI involved in the process at least for the captions, if so, you should probably mention it.

If there was an AI, there wouldn't be errors. The fact that there are is proof it was hand-typed.

@@bat7302 The problem wasn't with normal spellings. In relation to story 5, the narrator says the word as "murpy's law" instead of murphy's law, this was intended in relation to the story. But, the subtitle instead has murphy's law. You can check it out for yourself for cross reference.

My brother who died before I was born due to crib death, my dad got this headstone with the wrong death date, 50 years later he decided he would get a new headstone for my brother with the correct date, I remember visit my brothers gravesite with my mom when I was a kid but it was hard to find his grave cause there was no marker, my mom refused to use the gravestone with the wrong date, it was a few years ago when my dad said he was going to get a new gravestone, so I don't know if he has a gravestone or not, my family isn't close.

I don’t know why this isn’t obvious, but you should never get a tattoo in a language you don’t actually know. People get misspellings in their own language or with names, you don’t need to make it worse by asking for Greek or Russian or Japanese.
