As a little kid in the 1960s we used to travel through Fiji on the Qantas flight from Canada, via LAX or SF. The old B707 used to roll up to the terminal and they'd greet you like that, with singing and dancing and welcoming you to their island. What beautiful people. I also remember the Duty Free Shop was filled with toys and model cars and airplanes, and as a kid I was in awe of those things. My Dad only ever let me get one model car, a 911, and it was my prized possession until it went missing on another trip to Australia. In those days you had to dress up to fly on the airline, and you stopped in Hawaii first. Even Hawaii used to welcome you at the Airport with singing and flowers. I'm sad the World has changed so much. I even remember putting my hand in the water as a kid and being able to scoop out little fish, they were so plentiful. It was a magical time and I was so incredibly lucky to be able to have experiences like that. I so admire you guys getting to tour these places and share your adventures with the rest of us. I don't know how much longer these sorts of traditions will be around, so recording it now is at least an historical record for future generations. Looking forward to meeting you all in the Philippines when you get here. Cheers!

I wonder were the 911 is now ? what color ? thx brother...
@tlevans623 ай бұрын
It was a red 911 with a pneumatic drive that could make it turn, with batteries and the small air hose controller. My guess is someone nicked it during our travels. I can't actually remember when or where it went missing.

I've been watching several sailing channels now for at least 5 yrs, and I think this is my first virtual visit to Fiji. After the welcoming you received I'm super excited to see more! I hope that at the very least every Lagoon owner that gets a free bulkhead repair becomes a patreon, I can't think of a better way for them to give back to you for the countless $$ you saved them and possibly a few lives saved as well.

Hi Parlay revival team I’ve been to Fiji on many occasions and I just love it. I just love the people and I love the atmosphere if you can get some curry chicken and rice. I can eat that every day when you travel around the island you can smell it everywhere. If you like fresh bread, you can get it up to 5 times a day depends on what bakery you go to , Fiji butter is one of the best butters I’ve ever tried in my life , big lump of bread, smothered in Fiji butter and jam you’re in heaven. I’ll be travelling over there in the next couple of months to do some ministry in the prisons etc etc. Anyway keep up the good work guys. Really appreciate you all. enjoy done forget Bula and your hair everywhere some people say Bula Bula it’s like saying in Australia. Hello hello , you will enjoy yourselves. Cliff from Logan City, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 we are on the big island 🏝️
