Love you Brandon! I just want to say if you (people watching this) want a tattoo that you should pray and ask the Holy Spirit if He wants you to have one. He may be calling you to a place or purpose that tattoos would not be a good idea for. Just because Brandon gets tattoos which is fine for him, it doesn’t mean that we worship Brandon and say well cool Brandon than so can I. Just a thought. This is by no means bashing Brandon. The word of God is very clear. So many "Christian" artists are more concerned with looking and being cool, so careful not to upset anyone by manipulating God's word, that they lead others down the wrong path. Better to be honest with the truth and hated by the world than to twist words around to appease the world. 2 Timothy 4:3-4. Brandon, if getting the tats was prior to your commitment to the Lord, I could understand. It's part of your testimony. No, you got them after. Now let's give the best reasons to try to look hip and cool in this day and age. NO! Christ followers, DO NOT get tattoos. All you need is Christ. You don't need to try to 'fit in' or be admired by others. Walk the path and it will come naturally. or maybe you'll be hated. Either way, you're being true. Agreed Leviticus 19:28 is clear and it’s the word of God. Just obey. If using the verses you may not understand sufficiently in order to execute on them as reason why you don’t execute on Lev 19:28, then what you have is a spirit of rebellion. If saying I’m not under law, I’m under grace.. also spirit of rebellion and cheapening the blood sacrifice and suffering of Christ. From that interview, it sounds like his soul (H5315 not H3716.. see Numbers 30:2) is also tormented by the spirit of fear and the spirit of death. Your spirit can be saved while your soul is still bound (study all the words in Numbers 30:2 by looking them up in the blue letter Bible, reflect on what you’re binding yourself to in the spirit realm out of sheer ignorance Hosea 4:6, connect with deliverance ministers/ study that, Phil 2:12). Just to add- you see the plans of the enemy of your soul in your dreams and then go and tattoo it onto your body..brother not wise..that’s coming into agreement with the enemy’s plan for your spirit.. if you don’t agree you wouldn’t tattoo it onto your body the temple of the Holy Spirit. My mom was a tattoo artist and was doing piercings not only that had people wanting to work for her. She let it all go, she was practicing drawing since she was 12 and wanted to be a tattoo artist since. She let it all go after God told her “Destroy my temple I will destroy you.” Just thought i would say that. •_•

Revelation 19:16 "On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords." I'll just continue to lean on the scripture, the lord has a tattoo too which is amazing. Also not very helpful to tell that to someone with tattoos already, just sayin. I understand if she was marking people with things that are not good but I also had a vision from the lord of a tattoo on my arm when I never wanted one, just like your mother it's my personal revelation. I wouldn't condemn people from your mom's personal experience with the lord, we all have different convictions from the lord. Plus if you look as the history of tattoos it's very different from what it used to be when it said not to mark your body. Back then they used knives to carve out thing on their skin and scar like a wound from cutting themselves, not ink and tattoos were used for a completely different purpose.

Now if you got your tattoos before committing to the Lord that’s totally fine, before my dad became christian he got tattoos, but he hasn’t gotten another since following the Lord. We’re called to be set apart and having tattoos looks like the world.

Paul became all things to all people so he could bring people to Christ. Now, to worship your tattoos is not good. But if getting a tattoo gives him the opportunity to share the gospel to a tattoo artist who has been waiting for a sign from God in order to go to church, or maybe a patron who needed to hear about Jesus because her mother just died and she doesn't know where she is headed, then that is a wonderful thing.

Ok I'm not here to rain on this party y'all. Whether or not someone chooses to get tattoos on their body is between them and God... However, I can not ignore Leviticus 19:28 that says "You shall not make any cuts or markings on your flesh, I am the Lord." And 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 that says "Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit." So why put writings or tattoos on God's temple? (Aka our bodies) Yeshua (Jesus) didn't need tattoos on his body to spread the kingdom... (no offense to those that have em) I've also heard that tattoos spiritually open the doors for the occult... Also, alot of the ink that's used here comes from Africa, where the ink gets prayed over by people into black magic... that's why tattoos can be addictive and some don't know how to stop getting them... Do you also make animal sacrifices to God to atone for your sins? Because that’s written in the Levitical laws as well. Do you never get haircuts? Only wear clothing made of one type of fabric? Only eat fruit that’s gone through a 5 year cultivation process? Not trying to be disrespectful, just want to point out that these are all commandments in Leviticus. They were intended for the Israelites for a specific time and purpose. Christ is the fulfillment of the law, the once and for all blood sacrifice for our sins. We no longer are required to sacrifice animals, and we are no longer held under the Levitical law.

I just have to ask one question brother. Did you or do you ask the Lord what He thinks of your tattoos? Do you think you are representing yourself as a holy man of God, set apart from the world? Or would people look at you and think you’re just another guy? I have tattoos. I was raised in the church but I did go into a life of drugs. When I got sober I got a cross on my ring finger to “remind myself” that I was married to Jesus and that way I wouldn’t fall into unhealthy relationships. I realized I don’t need a sign on my skin. I have the Holy Ghost to remind me and God‘s word that I read every day. I have since repented to the Lord and asked Him for a way to remove them. Through many years of praying He has told me that those tats are an example of my life in sin/ in the world. Now people can see that I dress modestly and definitely don’t act like the next chick up the street. But a righteous woman dressed in simplicity and humility. Just something to think about Brother. We have to get copyright privileges/permission to change or use art or stories in the world. Why do we think we shouldn’t ask God for his permission to permanently change his masterpiece, which is us? Be bless in Gods truth! I only just came across this video and it breaks my heart because I honestly thought that you had all those tattoos before you got saved, but what hurt me the most was your excitement talking about it as if though its something cool and exciting. As a sister in Christ we are to sharpen one another so do know that I do not judge you but try to lead you to the truth as I would want my Christian family to do so for my sake. Tattoos are an addiction like drugs. The Lord prohibits marking our bodies. I believe because the stripes he took for us were like tattoos. They signified his love for us. He endured pain not for pleasure but as a sacrifice. Then why would we foolishly carve our bodies and endure pain for vanity? Our loving God would not desire for us to inflict pain on ourselves. Leviticus 19:27, 28. The whole chapter of Leviticus is instructing us to the ways of the our Lord God. The most important thing is to have a relationship with God, where you go to Him and prayer about everything! Everyone keeps going back to this specific bible verse but if you do some more digging the word ‘tattoo’ didn’t come about until the 1700s. Which would state that what they used to do is not the same as what tattoos actually are in the modern days. (From the research I have done, do your own don’t take my word for it) Also in Leviticus 19, it talks about not cutting your hair, ‘for the dead’, it has alot to do with WHY your doing it. And in this specific verse as well it was directed to ‘Pagan practices’. In everything we do it should glorify God, 1 Corinthians 10:31! If that’s what persons are using their tattoos for, well then okay... The decision is between you and God. No one else!

When I got the tattoo “if His grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.” Or “it is well with my soul” or “Matthew 11:28” those 100% came out of seasons where the Lord taught me something that I never wanted to forget. Coloring your hair or getting a nice haircut or pair of shoes can be considered “fleshly” as well. God looks at the heart. If the person with tattoos feels like they are justified in getting them - that there is deep meaning in them, who are you to judge? Leave that to God.
